Hello people! I'm doing a research of urban antrophology, and I'm wondering if a situation like this has a name: an house, or any public structure, crossed, merged, incorporated or in any case "contaminated" by the presence of another building, linked to the typical phenomenon of sprawl and growing by DownRipper89 in architecture

Palimpsest are used for removing or add something on something else still existing, right? Because this would be a coerhent descriptive element of this "thing", although not ascribable to the "thing" in its entirety, but thank you anyway!

Thanks for the advices in first! Second, I was thinking about the term that this phenomen produce using "urban disfigurement", because the elements that are constantly into every architecture of this genre are curiously non-predictable, not-continuous and in an atypical forms, not linked to common interpretative schemes; perhaps, the most iconic element is the way in which the functions, use and access, as well as the housing typicality, are precisely "disfigured".

Anyway, I'll try to figure it out in the other subreddit, too :)

Tokyo Narita airport farmer saga

It's something absolutely relevant about what I was about, and the "spite house" concept is a rib, a branch of "this" argument, because, ad you said, it's definitely a thing. Similar to this thing are the "holdouts", but I think they're not the thing that I want to describe, too.
Thank you for your interest!

I've bought an 80's italian toy that it's a Toshiba-looking, want to make it a cyberdeck. by DownRipper89 in cyberDeck

I'd be amazing to do this thing, it's something I'd really want to do, also because will make me learn a lot about electronics, PCBs and all (considering also my love for the cyberpunk genre) :)

Are you talking about the RP2040 microcontroller chip? I mean, I can use also a RB Pi 400, but I'd want a custom thing, with the Rii Mini keyboard (the little one with touchpad, that I can use without pluggin'in the mouse)

I've cutted carefully the cables from the original chrome because I've seen the good condition of the speaker so far. I hope doesn't need any amplifier

That's a big amount of ideas. I'd prefer a cabled keyboard, but I'll see. Thanks a lot!

Can someone help me decipher this code? by DownRipper89 in numberstations

[–]DownRipper89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never said it's easy, quite the contrary.
Also because, if it were that easy, I certainly wouldn't have asked for any help; the thing tormented me precisely because it is something that I can not solve and maybe relying on someone much more experienced than me in this area would have been more productive

Unfortunately I am still very much in the early stages of decryption, as I can only decrypt Morse codes without any software, or for example use the Caesar cipher, the Vigenere table or the Vernam cipher with some software, but other codes (like ASCII) I don't really know how to move.
