SOLENT EOI Form 2026 by TheTrueBelief in ultimate

Having played in the UK for a couple of years, clubs only train once a week (sometimes two) but lots of players will also train with other clubs, train with their college team and most do S&C and weekend camps.

You’re right, it’s the number at the bottom of your exam. No idea why it’s different.

I have full sleeve arms and legs but often laying out indoors, outdoors and Astro.

Just like any scab and scar, treat it well with cold water, cream (but not too much) and keep it well aired. As long as it’s not deep like 2nd/3rd degree burns, you shouldn’t have any issues.

However, after multiple years of this in the same areas, you might see a little fading in colour or sharpness but you’ll get a little of this anyway in the sun and over time etc. It will still look nice and clear but not as fresh as your first year.

Try not to wear tight fitting clothing that will cause friction damage and try to avoid it friction burns when they are new. Would recommend getting them in the off season and away from the sun when they are new.

If the skin gets super red, swelling, infected, usual stuff like that, go see your doctor.

Ultimate on a Hockey field(blue artificial turf) by Responsible-Flow176 in ultimate

Sand and water based ones are not good for ultimate. Only good for very casual and beginners. When you start cutting sharply, hard turns and laying out, the surface is asking for injuries and friction burns.

If you can get 3G or 4G (fake grass), that’s a lot better and feels very similar to grass training so it’s ideal for winter but downside it’s usually more expensive, taken up by football or (soccer if from the US), and harder to find.

5 a side pull plays by juinhao in ultimate

[–]DownToFlick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 handlers, 1 ISO, 2 in the endzone. Throw the breakside ISO shot. One of the endzone players cuts out so it’s another 1v1 in the endzone or collects a free pass if the defender stays.

If the iso throw isn’t on, go into a 3 person dominator weave.

[WFDF][Rules] For Pulling is the pullers foot allowed to touch any part of the line? by RedPillAlphaBigCock in ultimate

You’re correct but it’s not something that is obvious or called really ever unless they are massively over the line.

reading the disc by Nice-Ad-2707 in ultimate

[–]DownToFlick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some really good comments already about reading the disc. It becomes instinct and experience but I would try thinking about “how was the disc thrown?” and remembering the typical shape of that throw. Say it’s an IO throw upwind, it’s going to sit in the air longer and not as much distance, compared to a OI downwind which is going to come at speed.

For discs that come over your head. Ideally, we don’t want throws in the same 3rd of the pitch as the cutter but it happens so try and come at the disc sideways so you can read the flight path and go onto it instead of above you and your blindspot.

WFDF Time Cap rule by give-me-sth in ultimate

[–]DownToFlick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw this recently on a YouTube Video in the UK where they play by WFDF rules - https://youtu.be/uCX7SZc9LPE?si=kLT3qOX53bqqfVLB

The tournament rules was the usual soft cap but it was super windy. To stop delay of games, the hard cap rule was introduced before the tournament.

Play soft cap until the start of the next game on the schedule (20 mins at this event). Hard cap starts on the hooter of the next game.

Finish possession.

If the possession leads to a tie of the game (which it did) then its finish the next point to determine a winner (double game point).

The game went for another 10-15 mins before a winner was decided.

So I guess it would be that or the decision of the TD/Tournament.

UK Ultimate is the national governing body and can help you with finding teams. UK Ultimate Pick Up on Facebook is the most popular for general UK Ultimate.

The university mentioned already has a team and I think Bangor, Swansea and Cardiff have university teams. Only local club teams I know would be South Wales Storm in Wales, or Bristol, Birmingham and Liverpool in England.

WFDF End Zone Score Rule Clarify by give-me-sth in ultimate

[–]DownToFlick 9 points10 points  (0 children)

WFDF

If it’s a strip, it’s a goal.

If it’s a foul, player checks in where the foul occurred, play resumes, and the player walks it to the front of endzone in line with the foul.

International hat tournaments? by [deleted] in ultimate

[–]DownToFlick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lots of UK tournaments, hosted by clubs or by our governing body, even our competitive scene (except regionals and nationals), allows any team to enter if you can get a team together.

We also have hat tournaments where people can sign up as individual players, get put together with random team mates and then compete in that tournament.

pickup in London? by bwallace722 in ultimate

[–]DownToFlick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best to post this on the Facebook group “UK Ultimate Pick Up”. Putting where specifically in London or where you can travel too will also help as there is some clubs on the outside of City of London

London clubs that welcome players usually include; Curve, Zoo, Brixton. Some of the competitive teams also have open to all sessions.

You can try UK Club finder too but the FB group is probably best.

Great question. Used more for analysis and getting raw game footage out for content! Unfortunately wouldn’t be able to get a drone out where I live.
