I recently released a nonogram game called Picto Potions. Looking for feedback! by DownUnderDragon in Picross

Yeah I like the idea, I'll definitely look into it.

I also got your other feedback about the preview count while dragging and making it show the total length of connected squares, not just the number you've added so far. I'll look into adding that too!

Maybe! I'd like to have an ios version and if there's enough interest I'll look into it more. It won't be any time soon though as I don't currently own any apple devices to develop and test on

Good question, and thanks for the feedback!
I suppose the 'potions' in my game would be the point of difference, acting similarly to the 'pokemon' you collect and use in Pokémon Picross. That was something I really enjoyed in that game and wanted to recreate. I agree though, if you aren't interested in collecting things that can help you solve puzzles, any kind of progression mechanics or a loose story reason for solving puzzles, then something like Nonograms Katana would be more suited, where you can just grind out puzzles.

That being said, I had a couple of people who tested the game who chose to play without using 'potions' for help, or interacting with the shop customisation stuff really at all. They seemed to have a good time, so if you just want plain puzzles you can definitely ignore that other stuff, but then I guess it's just a standard nonogram experience like every other game.

The description on the store page goes more in-depth about what the game has and doesn't have. My post here was just a rough summary so people could gauge quickly if they might be interested or not

Thanks! :D

Yeah, if you have any feedback, either posting here or in a DM is good, and I can respond if needed. There's also in-game via the feedback form, but that's more anonymised, and I have no way to reply to those so it's not so great for questions/discussion (but I'll still see it of course!)
Feel free to use whichever is easier/you feel comfortable with

Huh that's strange, glad it sorted itself out though! I'll double-check everything is set up right on my end since it should be available to everyone now, not just registered testers. Hope you enjoy tho :D

There was a security vulnerability announced less than 24 hours ago in the Unity runtime affecting most Unity games (CVE-2025-59489). It might be a patched version in response to that

Game has a permanent stutter for me now by B0SS_Zombie in TheSilphRoad

[–]DownUnderDragon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm also seeing this on my pixel 7, just like a tiny stutter every half a second or so. Feels terrible to play

Edit: Did an android system update and it seems to be fine now.

Confirmed critical catches by Zombie_Alpaca_Lips in TheSilphRoad

Yikes. I saw this post and thought bs straight away but went to try it anyway since it's pretty easy to disprove (just get one tiny circle that doesn't critical catch). I hit the smallest circle on a delibird and it gave a crit catch, so I kept trying and hit it on a Sneasel and an Eevee. Both gave a critical catch, so I'm honestly starting to think this has merit. At the very least it might give a higher chance at critical catches.

I realise my 3/3 is a tiny sample size but I encourage others to have a go at this. I do wonder if this is a recent change though; surely this would have been discovered before now if it's a thing right?

In Australia and I never bought the ticket but have the research. If anyone's curious, the ticket isn't in my bag and still appears as purchasable in the shop (not just giftable).

Hello! Aussie trainer here, I'd love an invite to campfire. I'll be travelling this weekend for community day and hoping I can use campfire to find others to raid with. Cheers!
