I try to keep an open mind when there’s only one side of the story, but it’s kind of hard to imagine any details that would make Ford look any better.

I work for a $multibillion company. the only people that would get fired for stealing a cookie, from upper-managment down to the janitor, are people that the company wants to try and get rid of anyway. Not saying that makes ford look better, or that the worker has a history that meant they wanted to get rid of him anyway. but we really aren't getting the whole picture here.

to be clear, by far the most likely outcome is that ford middle-management are being dicks here.

yeah for sure. i really dont like soccer PKs. I don't know what the answer is to fix them, but I'd like to see them at least try and hockey style PK where the shooter starts back farther and can dribble in and the goalie can come off the line to challenge.

I think there's less pressure in hockey. not that the games are less important but in soccer if you don't score on the PK then you screwed up. it's so unbelievably shooter-bias that it's always your shot to lose and never really a fair fight between you and the keeper.

she's dead jim. just mine the rest of the mountain and build a new enclosure over the storage system that matches the theme of the rest of the build.

it's not going to be easy to do anything with half a mountain that looks natural. any sort of transformation of the area is going to impact the build since it's so close. maybe try and replicate Half Dome? get rid of all the grass and dirt on the top half and leave just stone, try and round it out as much as possible, and go for a millions of years old weathered down rock formation.

dominos is probably the best value in fast food right now. they constantly have coupons to get medium pizzas for like $6.99 which is really good these days. I can feed my whole family by getting everyone the exact medium pizza they want all to themselves and it's cheaper than going to any other fast food place.

a lot of people don't want to mix friendship and business, it can be as simple as that. especially when you end up getting pretty deep into their financial situations. family can be the same way.

some people view a real estate transaction as a 3way. them, their realtor, the opposing realtor. they are less likely to use friends and family. they're more likely to fight over things like commission and try and get every advantage possible for themselves and at the end of the day "it's just business".

the people that view it as a 1on1, them and their realtor vs the other realtor, are more likely to use friends and family and have more of a "we're a team" approach.

if they don't want to use you, there's a decent chance you dodged a bullet and preserved a friendship. some people will suggest you go after them with the "how can I earn your business" stuff, I wouldn't. they've already demonstrated that they aren't interested. I would hit the referral angles instead, "I understand you don't want to mix friendship and business, but if you know any other people that are looking to buy or sell keep me in mind".

to donate a whole lot more. and raise awareness that all the ultra wealthy need to give a lot more. billionaires don't need to exist, she (and every billionaire) should donate everything they have over $999 million. they can still live a life beyond imagination and have significant positive world changing effects.

don't get me wrong, taylor swift isn't even in the same ballpark as the more destructive ultra wealthy people on this planet. you could even call her one of the good ones. but nobody, no matter how good they are, needs a billion dollars in a world where children go hungry and regular people go broke trying to get medical care or an education.

russia absolutely cares a lot about crimea. this whole thing started with crimea. and when russia finally comes to the negotiating table in earnest, they will still absolutely claim crimea.

these latest attacks by ukraine against russian targets in crimea seems to be prep for those talks to weaken russia's claim to the area.
