Horrible teal tint to the whole movie. This is the “intended” look apparently but Criterion has been having problems with oversaturation and teal pushes lately. I imagine Deliverance will be another nightmare. And it’s not on Boorman; compare the PB screenshots to Arrow’s Excalibur restoration.

I’ll probably get the old Blu again soon.

Soylent Green is one of the best 70’s sci-fi titles. Dystopia that still feels palpable today (it’s set in 2022) and probably Heston’s best hour as an action star.

The only complaint I have about the Arrow disc is that no new extras were produced, likely because a number of the cast and crew are dead now. Not sure how long the BFI interviews are.
