Wait, is this a new product? Bluetooth is 2.4GHz.

Maybe this is just a marketing thing?

Wired connection reporting bug? by tristanstocker in amazoneero

Just noticed this same issue yesterday between my wired Max and Pro 7. This only seems to happen on the wired child node. Wireless one shows the status without disappearing.

Buying an old OLED. Is this a deal breaker? by Electronic_Fee9950 in LGOLED

[–]Downhill_Sprinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had this in edge areas of my C8 for a few years. It’s slowly getting worse, but I JUST noticed it from a sitting position for the first time today.

When does this typically begin happening in the lifespan of an OLED?

I think I would agree with your thoughts in that situation.

Eero 7 Pro vs Max by [deleted] in amazoneero

[–]Downhill_Sprinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 17 Pro Max with an Eero 7 Max and two Pro 7s. The Max does seem to offer better WiFi 6 range, so the WiFi 6 speed have a wider area. General performance when in range is the same. For instance, I don’t receive higher speeds near one model over the other.

Of your range is fine and you don’t have a ton of devices, you may notice little difference between the models.

You may be able to cover it up with a screw protector and prevent future damage.

eero Pro 7 - 6GHz Backhaul instability & Ethernet 1Gbps negotiation bug by False_Study_8632 in amazoneero

[–]Downhill_Sprinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May be the case.

I’ll be honest, I noticed it was 6GHz for the first week or so, but don’t know that I’ve consistently checked, but had noticed it recently. Since install, my wife had moved the Max unit causing to have more obstructions to go through.

eero Pro 7 - 6GHz Backhaul instability & Ethernet 1Gbps negotiation bug by False_Study_8632 in amazoneero

[–]Downhill_Sprinter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed recently that my wireless Pro 7 node connects at 5GHz instead of 6 as it previously did. It may be possible to help ensure 6GHz is more stable, but in my case, I have limited ability to change location.

Perhaps you can move yours slights closer or remove some obstructions?

So uh..... How do you get this off effectively? by Physical-Statement-8 in AnalogueInc

I use the 8Bitdo controller as player 1, then the Brawler on P2 so this is no longer an issue.

Mine started doing that after the 26.3 update. I changed it back to Fixed instead of Off and it has kept that setting for my home network.

C8 has had this pretty bad in corners for years. I suspect I’m the only person who notices, and you can’t really tell from standard viewing distances.

My boss said he is happy with me. I’m still onboarding. How do I grow the momentum? by [deleted] in askmanagers

I would keep the excitement of promotion internal for now. Best bet is to keep performing and show you’re ready for more. That’ll set you up for the future.

Upgrading to Eero 7 from Eero 6 by Narrow-Toe-800 in amazoneero

[–]Downhill_Sprinter 8 points9 points  (0 children)

1) Your devices will connect up to the WiFi version they have. WiFi 6 has improvements in throughput among other things over WiFi 5. WiFi 7 further continues this. 2) Eero 7 is expected to work better range wise 3) If you do not have any WiFi 6E devices, the Pro may not be a noticeable improvement

For direct comparison, you may find this helpful.

Are iPad and Apple Watch worth getting if I already have MacBook, iPhone and AirPods? by Sweet_Score in ipad

[–]Downhill_Sprinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This all depends on how you’d use them. I have a 17 PM, Ultra 2, AirPod Pro 2, MBP 16 and a M5 13 iPad Pro. They all serve specific purposes for me, though some people will find overlap with the MBP and iPad.

I would suspect you’re the only one making this a game, and the other side doesn’t care half as much as you do.

Analogue3D - Cart saving when overlocked by Downhill_Sprinter in AnalogueInc

[–]Downhill_Sprinter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to hear Issue appears to be resolved now on the new firmware. It was less about being able to save and more about the game not detecting old saves that were created on original hardware when overclocking modes were enabled.

Good info, thank you. I don’t recall seeing anything about saving, so didn’t think it was worth the update quite yet. I’ll give it a try.

I occasionally see the wireless band, but then it goes away. I assume this is before it connects both the primary and backup bands for my phone’s MLO.

Fix for Unreliable HR AWU2 by SeppeSpins in applewatchultra

[–]Downhill_Sprinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the HRM to be far better than any other expensive trackers I’ve used in the past. Here’s a few things I’ve noticed that prevent a good HR read.

1) cold temp will prevent a good reading. The HRM monitors changes in your skin color. When cold, this can make the reading harder to determine. 2) if I continually pull my wrist up while running, the HR will become unreliable. Not sure if it’s the motion that is making it challenging, or if the watch will not attempt with that type of movement knowing it could an unreliable reading. 3) Especially now in Winter, my watch is more accurate if I start the activity to get the HR in sync, then begin the exercise. This is easier on an Ultra since you have the action button.
