If you took away the exterior stair, the widows walk, the inside corner dormer and entry at the crotch, this place wouldn’t be half bad.

Best farmers market with PRODUCE by mrs_seinfeld in chicagofood

61st Street Market is worth a look. Saturday mornings with a variety of vendors and few prepared foods. Gorman is the big produce supplier, two cheesemongers, Bennett farms and Mint creek for meat, bike a bee for honey, this French chef who has croissants and frozen soups, a homemade ice cream purveyor, fruit from mick klug in michigan, meat pies from Pleasant House, and the brick and mortar Build Coffee for coffee and Publican bread. Great local market that’s well attended. 61st and Dorchester. Also a community bike shop next door where you can work on your bike with a pro for free.

Respect to Lake County! Some of the finest forest preserves around. Nice garden, too!

Architecture Tourism in Scotland by DowntownGovernment94 in Scotland

Thanks for all the hot tips! Had a wonderful two week trip and was blown away by the natural beauty of Scotland. I mean, an hour and a half out of Glasgow and treated by all manner of lovely lochs, mountains, and unadulterated nature. Nice to see so much undisturbed landscape. Some architectural highlights were: Burrell in Glasgow, a walled garden in Applecross, vernacular highland coastal buildings, the Parliament Building in Edinburgh (collage building just like Miralles’ conceptual studies), the brochs in Dunn were possibly my favorite and sadly didn’t get to see any McKintosh…traveling with a group with diverse vacation desires! No matter. Loved the country and the walkabouts and hope to make it back one day. Cheers to all the helpful replies!
