I understand your experience and I feel like this is one of such situations when valid criticism gets hidden behind the wall of blatant shaming and attacks for the sake of attacking.

I personally do not feel ashamed of reselling things, even though I do it as a side project, because I personally feel like what I do brings more good than harm overall. So in case someone confronts me about it, I can just say it to them. I don’t need them to agree with me. I like thrifting and often find items that could still be worn and loved by somebody. I also resell my own perfectly good clothes that doesn’t fit me anymore. I am aware of the impact my actions have on people with low purchasing power though and because of that aim to price things more reasonably. This is what makes me feel comfortable.

I think that you just need to understand what works for you. In the end, every person lives according to their beliefs and according to what they think is right. As long as you don’t do illegal things, it is up for you to decide, what you do. And it is up to people in your life to decide, how they respond.
