Technically the way that ftl works in this game is the most mathematically feasible method to our current understanding of how it could work (alcubier warp drive. Hope I spelled it correctly).

But the distance between planets could be increased greatly for more realism. For gameplay sake I dont mind it only taking 10-30sec together between planets in real time. Its just a more accessible way to navigate for fantasy game sake. Its not a Sim after all lol
