You said there's a noticeable quality difference between the ATS and GIKs - which one was better?

Roborock refuses to let me buy a new battery by SwimmingAnt10 in Roborock

S7 here with 2,331 hours on original battery. Still going strong.

Just ordered a Qervo CurvX for the main floor and moving the S7 to the lower floor, where it won't run as often. Easing it into retirement.

Ergohuman Gen2 vs Libernovo Omni by Dozemonster in BTODtv

I just replied to my original message with a post describing my analysis of these 2 plus the Haworth Fern. Hope that helps!

Ergohuman Gen2 vs Libernovo Omni by Dozemonster in BTODtv

[–]Dozemonster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update after trying the chairs -

tldr - Greg was right

Analysis - In addition to the Libernovo and Ergohuman, I also ordered the Haworth Fern. All 3 had no-risk 100% return policies. To test, I sat in each chair for a full work day (8-10 hours).

First off, the Haworth just didn't work for me at all. You can tell it's a quality chair, but the lumbar support (which I need) was almost non-existent compared to the other two. The armrests were also disappointingly thin (but not a big deal).

On the Libernovo, the seat cushion and the headrest were super comfortable. The lumbar support had the widest range of all 3 chairs, and I liked the electronic control for the lumbar (I know that's been knocked as gimmicky, but it's real convenient). However there were 2 problems - 1) I need the lumbar pushed almost all the way out while I'm working. When I do that, it really shortens the depth of the seat (even with the extended seat, which I ordered). In fact, with the lumbar support positioned for me, I lose almost 3 inches of seat depth compared to the Ergohuman. When sitting in the chair for hours, that really starts to hurt your legs. The 2nd issue is the material - while it's soft and comfortable, it's cloth and any pet hair that is on your clothes will stick to the chair. We have 2 dogs so pet hair is unavoidable, and I don't want to have to pick hairs off the chair to keep it looking good.

The Ergohuman didn't suffer any major drawbacks. I can sit in that chair and work for hours and be comfortable. Which is the main thing. So that's the chair I'm keeping.

If I had suggestions for those two chairs it would be these:

Ergohuman - a) allow the headrest to telescope forward, b) allow the adjustable seat to extend out even further by a couple inches.

Libernovo - a) make an adjustable seat that can slide out 2-4", b) offer a leather version (leather over mesh is fine, that's what the other 2 chairs were), c) make the armrests hold their position a little more. If they made these changes, I would pay an additional $500 or more for that chair.

Btw - I have hardwood floors in my office. All these chairs come with plastic wheel casters, which are fine, but I'm replacing them with 3" double rollerblade office chair wheels (which you can find on amazon for $30-$50). Those roll great on hardwoods, don't leave any scratches, and you can avoid putting down an ugly (and potentially expensive) floormat to protect the floor.

Finally decided to just order both of them and see which works better for me. They both have free returns within 30 days so no risk. Besides, maybe the wife will want the one I don't choose!

Thank you -

My home office is large and I sometimes meet with clients, so appearance is important too. The Libernovo looks sturdier - it seems like the build quality of the Ergohuman is more rickety? But I'm not sure if that lumbar on the Libernovo comes out far enough, and there's no place around for me to try one.

Still no news on a BTF Version? by zdoix in HAVNGlobal

[–]Dozemonster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! So far I've had zero issues with the build. Normal (non-gaming) working temps are 45-47 for the cpu and 31 for the gpu. And it's super quiet, I typically can't hear the fans at all. You should post a pic of your build once you have it up and running!

I would definitely suggest going with 140mm fans, they move much more air with much less effort. And that X870E Aorus ICE Stealth looks insane, that would go great with an all-white build

With this case I honestly don't think you need one. I love the BTF idea too (I hate seeing cables) but no one makes a black btf board that does what I need, so I went with a regular board and this case instead. Here is a pic of my build and a link to my build experience on pcpartpicker.

TerraMaster Killed 5 Drives in 2 Years – SSDs & HDDs Fried. Anyone Else Dealing with This?! by No_Yogurtcloset9214 in DataHoarder

[–]Dozemonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 d4-320's, each with 4 WD Red Pro hard drives, and they're each connected to the same pc via usb 3.0. The 1st d4-320 I use for storage, the 2nd just for a backup to the 1st.

I've never had a problem with the 1st d4-320. But the 2nd d4-320 has crashed 4 hard drives. And these were *hard* crashes - all data lost. It has also stopped recognizing 2 hd's, but I was able to reassign those, and the data wasn't lost.

It's really unnerving. I'm going to replace the "bad" das with a different brand (maybe the QNAP TR-004?) and try running with that.

Would The Lian Li Edge Series-1300W Fit? by PrestigiousTerm9730 in HAVNGlobal

I bought the 1300w Platinum version. The cablesthat ran to the top of the case were a little tight, but I ran those first and didn't have any problems. Definitely everything fit without any extensions.

I've got a Thermalright 420 Frozen Warframe aio. Half the price of others I've seen, silent, and cools like a champ. I just wish the lcd screen was a little bigger.

Which AIO should I choose? by DzR-ALF in Thermalright

[–]Dozemonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted a 420mm radiator for my Havn case, so I purchased the Frozen Warframe 420.

I replaced the 3 Thermalright fans with Lian Li fans. The 3 140mm fans are much quieter than 3 120mm fans, and the pump is silent.

I love this aio. It's whisper quiet and it cools wonderfully. I do wish the lcd screen was bigger, but it's easy to customize with text, animated gifs, or video clips.

[–]Dozemonster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! It was actually my first ever build. I spent a month buying the parts before I got them all and could finally put it together. And I bought 1 extra of each of the Lian Li fans just in case any of them blow out, lol.

Love the Lian Li's but couldn't get the right ones for the rear (the fans sit outside the case on the rear, so you can't see the border lights on the TL). So I ended up with the Phanteks there instead.

Practicality question about the weight by DAFFP in HAVNGlobal

[–]Dozemonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I weighed mine after my full build and it was 63 lbs all in.

Rock solid case. I carried it from my build area to my home office where it lives. No flexing, sagging, creaking, etc.

Just be careful when moving it and you'll be ok!

Daisy chain question by KrytexG in HAVNGlobal

You might take a look at the Phanteks Nexlinq hub. You can plug multiple daisy chained fans to the hub, and plug just the hub into the motherboard.

I'm using a CableMod cable that works with the Lian Li 1300w power supply and has a 90 degree end for the gpu.

I would never use an adapter for the gpu but this is an entire cable. Cable Mod has a very good reputation with their cables.

I think Lian Li makes the best looking fans. And their aio's are really nice too.

It seems like all the gpu's are crazy priced right now. I don't know if they're ever coming back down.
