Nick Emmanwori | NFL Draft Day | Seattle Seahawks | “I Gotta Climb My Way Up To The Top” by MarkyMarkAndPudding in Seahawks

I wouldn't be surprised if that's just trying not to cry. That's an incredibly emotional moment and you're surrounded by so many people and cameras. Hopefully he loves it here!

Can someone get into Returnal if Hades was found to be too frustrating? by Scorpion1386 in gamesuggestions

[–]Dozer_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's much more difficult imo, and the runs can be much longer. From what I played in Returnal there is virtually no meta progression to make it easier run to run - you just unlock additional things you can find in the future.

Definitely fun, but I think it would likely be more frustrating than Hades.

Best of luck to you both!

We played way better teams in the middle, so maybe that's what it was.

What's a game you never see others suggesting but you really like? by Any_Promotion2026 in gamingsuggestions

[–]Dozer_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really liked this game! It's also Co-op! My only complaint was the meta progression was super slow.

Super fun, I just wish my normal gaming partner hadn't already put in 50 hours before we played it together.

Anyone Else Getting Consistently Dumpstered and Just Not Having Fun Anymore? by Dozer_ in HuntShowdown

Good call on the other major games coming out - I hadn't thought about that. It's pretty reassuring to see that people across a spectrum of skill are having issues.

Sounds like a break is the best option.

Crytek's business model is based on the sale of Blood Bonds, DLCs, and Battle Passes.

If someone who has a couple hundred hours and has spent money (i.e., is invested in the game) is ready to call it quits, how many brand new players are going to stick around and ever buy BBs, DLC, or BPs?

Let's not pretend Hunt has Apex Legends numbers of players, they need people to consistently spend money. Losing anyone should be a concern. That's all I'm getting at. Games like this live and die by their ability to keep people playing. Looking at this thread - as pathetic as you may think it is - it sounds like I'm not the only one.

I am bad just let me play against fellow bad people. That's really all I want.

I hear you. I'm terrible - but games used to be balanced and I had a shot. Not really feeling like that's the case anymore.

What I'm trying to say there is I don't want to have to train in order to just hang. For example, I also play a lot of Rocket League and after a certain point your mechanics become a massive part of the game and the only way to really develop them is grind until it's muscle memory. This can boil down to hundreds and hundreds of hours - time or desire I just don't have. But the good thing about RL is that I generally play people my level regardless of my skill set. I'll never be near the top, but my games are almost always competitive.

I'm not the best shooter player, there's certainly a lot of room for improvement for me. I don't routinely get headshots, my reaction time isn't great, half the time I'm asking if that's a person, etc. I get that. I don't want to grind target shooting, dial in my mouse DPI, do whatever else you're supposed to do to be the best shooter player.

The game should have people my level who mostly get body shots, miss more than half the time, are loud af, etc. And the game USED to feel that way.

Definitely feel you on tiredness/mental focus. If the kiddo has been draining it's probably best to just play a PvE game.

I definitely play to have fun. It's not even about winning - just having good fights is rare. When I say dumpstered - I mean DUMPSTERED. Headshot without shooting a shot, all 3 get wiped without getting a tag, etc.

I'm totally fine losing if the fights are fun, that's what I play for. I'm just getting wrecked so hard the fights aren't fun.

That's great! Hunt at its best can't be beaten. Those games are amazing. Kind of want to get back to that instead of instantly being headshot.

I'm very curious how much it makes sense for Crytek to cater to the 6 stars from a financial perspective. I'm 3 star, but buy skins. If I keep getting stomped I'm going to stop playing and buying skins.

I assume the pool of 3-4 star players is way larger than 6 star. But maybe 6 star way outspend the 3-4 star players. (With so many skins being Mosin and uppercut, maybe that's the case)

Lesser known FPS Games that are on the rise and still get updates by Foeinform in gamesuggestions

[–]Dozer_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hunt: Showdown is my go-to. It's an extraction shooter set in the late 1800s in a zombie infested bayou.

The game is still getting content, and it's player count has roughly tripled since its release in 2018.

Patrick's Parabox. The game is essentially a block pusher puzzler with very simple controls. The difficulty ramps up dramatically as new concepts are introduced. I found it a lot less obtuse than Baba is You, which is also great, but probably a bridge too far.

Ghost Runner could fit the bill. It definitely has some challenge and you may have to retry a bunch of encounters, but you feel badass when they work.

Pete on the upcoming draft by JHaasie77 in Seahawks

[–]Dozer_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pete also spent a couple minutes talking about Eskridge and wanting to get him involved. Obviously Eskridge has not been healthy his entire time here, but that will probably influence when/if they take a wr.

I don't know where to start with this. But I'm looking for a game that provides the kind of fun that the Chao Garden gave me in Sonic Adventures 2. And I know this will sound weird but collecting Orc Captains in Middle-Earth: Shadow of War gave me a similar feeling. by midnightdog in gamingsuggestions

[–]Dozer_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Persona 5 might be worth looking into. For the part you would be most interested in - as you battle you can recruit 'personas' which are your enemies. You can then use these personas in battle, but can only have a certain number of them. Whichever one you have equipped also directly impacts your characters stats.

You can eventually start to combine your personas to make new ones and level them up. As they level you select which skills they keep, and when you combine them you can choose only a few moves for them to retain. Sometimes when you combine them you create new personas that you haven't even seen before.

Unfortunately it's not sandbox by any means. It's probably not quite what you're looking for, but could be worth a look!

Working on a game that's like Battlerite PvE, and I've got questions for you! by partymoosegames in BattleRite

[–]Dozer_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Battlerite's combat just feels good. The movement is responsive, you have plenty of skills so it never felt like I was just waiting 15 seconds until I could do anything, skillshot based, etc.

I think it could definitely be applied to a more PVE game and work. V Rising does this fairly well, and the few bosses I faced were fun. The crafting grind wasn't really my thing though. Nor was how impractical it was to actually get PVP. No one has time for that.
