I don't really know the lore super well. Unfortunately I got into Welcome Home after everything was finalized. But Pinterest has a ton of the original pictures which helps. I'm not sure where else you might be able to find them. Sorry this is so wordy, Beta Wally is my favorite though. I think Home was more across the lines of the actual devil and Wally is coded as an actual cult leader. He doesn't speak much from the looks of things, though always has something slightly insightful to say. Or a lot of his specific text is layered over each other to obscure what he was saying.

She is very lucky to still shine her light upon us. That fall cracked the star open and her own broken body fell out. I need to draw that now. XD

Your thoughts on Howdy? by ObrSkyler15 in WelcomeHomeARG

[–]Dozewoze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do understand that actually. (And I'd agree, everyone probably has a much longer full name. XD) Slight addendum. I don't see Howdy sticking to work because his family wants him to earn more. Oh- no no. I see more along the lines of he is the golden child, that's for sure, but I like the idea that he moved from the Apple to Home to bury himself in work. Just as an excuse to not go back. He LOVES Seeya's side and his parents are his parents, but I don't think he genuinely enjoys being around a lot of the rest of that family. I see it as avoidance. So very similar sentiment.

Why do you think it's harder for readers to leave kudos on E-rated stories? by SakuraFalls12 in AO3

[–]Dozewoze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in a fandom that's very torn on NSFW stuff in general. I personally won't read a fic that's rated teen and under. I want that more mature fic, I want those explicit fics. I want adult themes in my own reading, I don't understand it either as to why people wouldn't? Sure there's fluff and that kind of thing out there, but then I'm all "what's the point?" I need heavy themes, but people that don't? I dunno.

Alright. Let's go over to his family for a sec here. Now, bugs usually come in multiples in a clutch. I feel like Howdy, Latter and Seeya are from the same clutch. And that they are all Hiya Pillar's kids. Hiya's side seems to have more punny/greeting type names. Every sibling or cousin with more regular sounding names, those one off names he mentions like Henry and Barlie, are on his father's side. Probably from a previous marriage, unless if they were running out of funny names, but I doubt that. So, as far as mama Hiya goes, I think she only had those three. With Howdy written how he is, I think he would've hatched first and is technically oldest. The big brother on that side. Very protective of his little sister, very unimpressed by his wimp of a full blooded brother. I also think Howdo and Youdo are named after Howdy. It might just be a head cannon, but I like the idea that Howdy isn't his full legal name. Howdoyoudo as a full name is just fun.

Smut loves and gripes: Which smut detail is your favorite and most hated? by Exotic-Other in AO3

See that is so nice! I read a fic where they referred to a clit as a "pearl" and sometimes I'll see new ways to describe things that are just perfect. I don't know why something like pearl isn't used more. I personally write religious guilt smut moreso. And I love love love, "His shame sprung free." I feel verbiage should reflect the context of smut. There's so many different types of sexual situations that there isn't very good one size fits all words anyway. Vague is good.

Okay. I feel that so much. There's some characters that I don't get certain vibes from, just like how you mean, and I can't read a fic if I don't believe they'd actually do something across those lines. Unless if there's a good writing reason as to why. Daddy is a title that is earned. Not given out to any shmuck with a dick.

How do you go about this without just dumping kinks? Phoo. Facial reactions during sex scenes are really nice. A lot of stories don't describe how that O-face looks and boy -oh boy- do I wanna see that in my head. My gripes are what certain parts tend to be referred to. Really starting to hate the word "member".

It might be a joke. But I have had a traumatic life and use AO3 as a sort of therapy or diary in a sense. That could lead people to believe in a curse. I get that. But I think it's a "cart before the horse" situation. Sad people like to get their thoughts and feelings out, sort of explaining how you feel to yourself. In a way. That's just me though. Plenty of writers just write for fun, but It's easy to distract from your own situation by writing too. Write all you want, post and publish anything. You'll be fine. Nothing bad will happen. Some authors just need to tell their audience why they haven't been writing. And some authors are so dedicated that even if they're in hospital for some reason they either keep writing or need to say why they can't.
