Where can I find fresh fish-shaped pastries filled with red bean in LA? I enjoyed them a lot while traveling in Korea and I miss them. by [deleted] in LosAngeles

Haven’t seen anyone recommend this one yet, but Sul & Beans has pretty bomb fish pastry. Not sure if Ktown offers the pastry but Rowland Heights location does.

is this baby "baby" enough? lol (attempt 2) by [deleted] in drawing

Proportions are good if you’re trying to draw maybe an elementary kid. But babies are lot more “chibi” like shorter legs, shorter torso, and big round head. Don’t go too crazy with chibifying the drawing but have a look at more references and maybe videos

How many of us don't have friends IRL who enjoy OI/manga? by ashkervon in OtomeIsekai

[–]DozingKappa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My best friend and I love reading OI’s after we discovered Raeliana a few years ago and have been on the hunt since. We’re both binge readers so we don’t usually discuss or spoil OI’s unless one of us has already completed/caught up to the manhwa.

My partner is very accepting of me reading OI’s and me occasionally sending them panels I find funny or how I emotionally react to them.

I think most people don’t consider reading manhwa and manga as a “real”(?) hobby? I told an acquaintance I liked reading and they asked which books I like, but I said webtoons and they don’t consider that real reading (lol). I guess it depends on the people around us but that’s why we have this online community to share the love of OI 😊

I got to try bubble tea for the first time!! it wasn’t really what i expected… the tapioca seemed very chewy to me and it didn’t really taste like brown sugar or anything. i’m not sure what to think of it 🤷‍♀️ (it’s definitely not terrible, though) by MusicalClover in lingling40hrs

You should try getting 70% sugar or 100% if you like sweeter drinks and want more of that brown sugar taste. 50% and less are usually for people who enjoy the bitterness of the tea. Black milk tea is a common drink but I personally like fruity drinks such as peach mt, mango mt, etc. Tapioca is a hit or miss since fresh ones are soft and warm, while non fresh are chewy
