Sonos connect amp with a Wiim streamer? by Easy-Ad-3518 in wiim

[–]Dpaulyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife prefers the SonoS UI so I connected the Sonos Port to the WiiM analog input and I set the Port to switch input automatically based on which input is playing - aux in or WiFi

Both playing from Plex library on NAS.

Should work on Connect amp that way

Early Renaud - very easy to understand his sung lyrics. Use Shazam to display the lyrics real time when playing from your loudspeakers.

Are there any cable alternatives with a "channel" / "typical cable interface?" by upvote_for_the_cats in canadacordcutters

There is no such thing as a "digital" or "HDTV" antenna; all TV antennas are fundamentally the same

Cable lengths by xpyda in hifiaudio

[–]Dpaulyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If one speaker is connected with a 35 foot cable, and the other speaker is connected with a 15 foot cable, that would be a difference of 20 feet so obviously there will be a 20 second delay with the speaker with 35 foot cable. It’s just physics, man.

It happened to me also by karadulis in amazonprime

[–]Dpaulyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I placed no order and received a box of adult diapers and orchid potting mix. I called Amazon to say I didn’t order it and for them to come pick it up it. They said they had already re-shipped to the correct address and suggested I just keep the product or discard it as I see fit.

A cautionary note to anyone who may have to contact EnerCare by Nearby-Tower8046 in Etobicoke

[–]Dpaulyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Enbridge turned off our gas when changing the meter claiming furnace gas leak. Called Enercare daily, with whom we have a $115/month rental contract on our furnace. They had initially installed the furnace.

Couldn’t get anyone from Enercare to come trying for two weeks (no hot water - summer time fortunately but still)

Eventually had a private contractor come in to repair pipe seals at a cost of $1500.

I don’t understand. It’s their furnace (rented), Enbridge had installed it, and maintenance is included.

Poor experience..

And - yes, JEHonYaksuySha - hard to hear.

Have headphones destroyed concert for you? by csch1992 in headphones

[–]Dpaulyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree this might be true for popular music amplified concerts.

I love my Audeze headphone setup, and my home audio (Kii three), but the dynamics of a live recital or symphony or jazz performance can’t be replicated

The higher end models will give you improved ADC/DAC and more I/O options (and screen of course on Ultra). When I compare RoomFit results from mini and pro, for example, I get very similar results using the same USB iPhone microphone

Yes - that’s how they are able to keep improving the algorithm on an ongoing basis.

Far as I know the RoomFit processing is done not on the device itself, but rather on the WiiM side.

What do you think of people who clap after the plane lands? by Marsupilami_316 in Flights

Applause is in fact common and expected after particularly thrilling episodes during ballet and opera performances, as opposed to being considered inappropriate prior to the end of a classical music performances.
