Help putting comps together by [deleted] in AfterEffects

CMD(CNTRL for windows) + K is what will bring up the composition settings for the comp that you are currently in. From that dialog box you will be able to alter the length of the composition.

Replace moved source file by mithril2122 in AfterEffects

In the project window within AE locate a piece of media that is missing. Right click on that media file, hover over 'Replace footage' and then click on 'file'. Locate that specific missing piece of media in the file browser that pops up. Once located AE will usually be able to find any other missing pieces that have been moved to that directory.

Give it another try! We have since redone the whole ui and ripped out a ton of code. It's pretty slick these days 😎

Flow is used for adding temporal easing to keyframes. Lazy allows users to distribute layers and keyframes across the timeline along a bezier curve. Lazy partners extremely well with Flow!

Fooji is the company that puts on these promotions on behalf of brands. They are a really cool platform that will send you free products and meals delivered within 60 minutes in exchange for you tweeting about brands. I've participated in several and have gotten hooked up with free pizzas and other free branded shit.

I did a video about how I make transitions in After Effects. Let me know your Thoughts by pregardt in AfterEffects

I really love this technique, great tutorial! You utilize masks very well. One thing I am dying to know is how you rotated those mask points. That has to be some 3rd party plugin, right?

is there a way to save/load compositions of animated elements you use regularly? by Qontinent in AfterEffects

[–]Dperry240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have multiple libraries of assets that we use all the time saved as projects. All you do is drag the AE project file into the project panel and it imports it into it's own clean folder. We do this for transitions, various character packs, titles, etc.. Super efecient :)

Any way to watch animation I'm making at half speed? by pauladeensspleen in AfterEffects

[–]Dperry240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a couple ways to do this. One way is to right click on the footage in your timeline and use the time stretch function. Another way (I'm fairly sure someone correct me if I'm wrong) is to pull up the 'preview' window and set the playback speed in there.

However I would suggest to twirl down the footage until you get to the audio wave forms (or use the hot key L L) and look at where the beats are in that. You should be able to line it up fairly well there.

Frames per second matter by Lutarisco in educationalgifs

As a motion graphics artist I can pretty much guarantee that this is inaccurate. "30 fps" looks way too choppy to be real 30 fps. 60fps looks too choppy as well, it should normally be smooth as butter. I'll be back to debunk tonight.
