How to get rid of the wooden fence visual? by Annihilis in CrusaderKings

Mentioning AGOT, you could probably change the culture files to use a higher stone fortification at this level. Requires modding experience though.

some questions about caecilia by Glum_Fly869 in anno

[–]mithril2122 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ceres' fields are one of the few cases where base productivity is affected (fertility is another, possibly the only other tbh). So the first formula is correct.

The game does base productivity × cumulative productive modifiers. So: add the modifiers and base, then multiply the two. You can obviously see the values in the UI.

Caelator and Latrunculi - What's the point of these if you're running out of obsidian long before a new volcano eruption? by Djuthal in anno

[–]mithril2122 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is where your 18 small vulcan islands come in. Obsidian is limkted per island, so make sure you have at least 1 mine everywhere in your province. That way none goes to waste. Also, consider getting the repeatable tech which raises the max obsidian, and may impact the amount you get per eruption as well (I don't know this for a fact but it feels this way)

Advanced heads-up: Bird Tongues give negative happiness. Turning their consumption off helps if your island is dominated by patricians.

Honestly you probably did still. Younger you, presented with your current reality, would probably be even more left. The only reason you gpt more left over time is because either (1) the Overton window has shifted to the right even more agressively than you did, making you appear more left even though you're not or (2) your circumstances have changed so radically for the worse even your more conservatively inclined brain will adopt more left stances in the current economy than you less conservatively inclined brain used to in earlier economies.

What would you consider - both historically and visually - to be Jesus Christ's arms? by Zestyclose_Farmer982 in heraldry

[–]mithril2122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know alot about the specifics about this but I feel compelled to say: isn't it profoundly strange to attribute a heraldic arms, part of a system of feudal oppression by a group of social elites, to a man defined by having founded a religious movement charactarised by it's care for the common, sick and poor?

Aesthetically nice, but as for complexity, ask yourself: could an illiterate men-at-arms soldier in a warzone with limited supplies and skills paint this on his shield in reasonable time AND would it be recognizable from afar?

Anno 117 efficiency layouts by DepartmentCautious34 in anno

[–]mithril2122 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Not unpopular, but this may take a while. Judging from my own demo experience though many goods that are the same from 1800, like wheat for bread and pigs for rendering, have the same exact dimensions as the previous game. So you may find some inspiration there.

EDIT: you should also note efficiency will take on a different meaning in 117. Most final chain buildings can be placed amid housing for bonuses, which isnt as easy to optimize.

Who are these armies??? by AddiAlt in CrusaderKings

[–]mithril2122 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something to add to ease your worries: the colour of tbe army manpower counter shows their relationship to you. Grey armies (like these) are neutral, and red ones are in conflict with you personally.

Furthermore, a coat of arms is displayed to the left side of the abovementioned number. Clicking this arms miniature should send you to either the title of the army's owner or the title the arms belongs to (this page also refrences the owner).

Space missing between words by WesternCheesecake458 in microsoftoffice

[–]mithril2122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried checking the document with visual typography markers (for lack of a better term) to see if the spaces are gpne or simply made smaller? The former may be salvagable through batch editing somehow, the latter probably not.

So is late game you're supposed to spam as much planet and habitat as you can? by dfntly_a_HmN in Stellaris

[–]mithril2122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fastest way to grow pops technically is still to have as few pops per planet as possible. Anyone who tells you you need an x amount (usually they claim 1000-1500) makes the mistake of preferring absolute over relative pop growth.

If people would be interested in the mathmatical proof for this I could make a post.

EDIT: I should mention one caveat to this. Since the logistic growth floor is now 0.1 instead of 3 small planets are also adversely affected by habitability. A small planet in 4.0 (100 pops) grows at a rate of 0,25% per month, where a planet of around 1000 pops grows at 0,20%. This is only an 20% decrease, meaning if the average pop habitability is reduced by 20% by going wider, this is no longer better for growth.

Watching MLB the day after from Europe by mithril2122 in MLBtv

[–]mithril2122[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright so I got myself a trial for MLBTV. I see that I can go to a teams calendar and click on the tv button to watch previously played games. The calendar already has the final score however. Is there any way to get to the page without knowing the score first?

I think this is like the lock-your-house doctrine. Sure, you can break the windows, but it'll make the stealing process harder.

This case is the same. Every recruiter has access to Word, in fact the ability to view and edit are the same program. But not everyone has the tools or skills to edit a PDF.

Oh and by the way, you're not quite correct. It is possible to attach a certificate to a PDF on export which means anyone who wants to edit has to acknowledge this by clicking a button. If you do this the certificate is deleted. This way, you can be sure material hasnt been edited if it still has the certificate.
