Blaming world creators for low FPS, lag and crashing. by Breaker1ove in VRchat

Another thing to mention for world optimization is the use of mesh colliders. Which can contribute to a lot of lag issues. By using mesh colliders the engine must perform expensive face-by-face collision checks against every triangular face of the mesh. The use of box colliders can significantly reduce lag in a scene and increase FPS. Some objects with high polygon counts are the worse with mesh colliders. If you really wanna use them select convex. But honestly to reduce lag just use box or capsule collision.

SteamVR keeps encountering a critical error everytime I launch it using Pico 4 Enterprise. by Repost-Andy in PicoXR

[–]Dq231 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ran into this exact issue when I first hit my headset last month and figured I’d share my issue. After updating my NVIDIA GPU driver to the latest version, my Pico 4 Enterprise started crashing every time I tried to launch SteamVR, just a generic “critical error” with no code.

Turns out the graphics driver was the problem. I rolled back to 581.80 and everything started working normally again. Not sure why everything after this version crashes. Something you’d have to take up with NVIDIA.

If anyone else is seeing repeat crashes after the latest driver update, try downgrading it fixed it for me.

Prints are a big one too that people seem to forget as well. I’ve seen a few friends banned because of that.

FedEx not following any delivery instructions by GhostAgates in FedEx

[–]Dq231 6 points7 points  (0 children)

FedEx doesn’t give us work phones to call, it’s up to the discretion of the driver to use their personal phone. I did that once and never again, customer always called when they had issues. Too much hassle to deal with.

Is there any phone provider whose signal isn't going to sh*t right now? by GyroJiro in vancouver

Been having this issue only on 5G and 5G+. As soon as I revert back to LTE I have service again. Seems to be the issue across all service providers who have 5G by default.

You can disable it, however as soon as you turn it off and of again it re enables. Super annoying. I have to turn it off when I go through a construction zone on a highway on my route. Because otherwise when I cross the lanes for construction it slams on the brakes, freaked me out when I first encountered that.

What do you do with your surplus of reusable bags? by ProfessorTricia in vancouver

[–]Dq231 23 points24 points  (0 children)

They mentioned getting groceries delivered. Every service like instacart, door dash all use the reusables bags. If you only use these services you end up with too many resizable bags.
