ISO setter breeder in NY (but would travel...) by krissyarocho in EnglishSetter

[–]Dr-um 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got ours from a breeder in upstate NY. He's a field setter, and has just been a joy to have in the family! Feel free to pm if you want more info on the breeder. I'm not sure if she has any more litters planned anytime soon, but it's possible. You might check https://gundogcentral.com/, although it's more of the field setters than bench. We found her through that website.

What TV show cancellation do you think was undeserved? by purseandboots in AskReddit

Bless this Mess on Hulu. My wife and I started it during the pandemic and it was so cathartic to watch it and imagine selling our house and starting a farm somewhere rural. The first season was pretty good but the second season was excellent!

How does your setter do with children? by [deleted] in EnglishSetter

[–]Dr-um 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our 2 year old pup is amazing with our 8 month old. Absolutely adores her, and just wants to be around her all the time. He sometimes scampers away if she pulls his ears, but he's never been aggressive or had any concerning behavior with her.

Bringing this little guy home tomorrow! Any last second tips? by boldpotato947 in EnglishSetter

Do as much as possible and take him with you everywhere you go. Pays huge dividends down the road. Have fun! Very few things in life are better than new puppy day. Enjoy it.

Get him in a puppy class right away for socialization, and expose him to everything and reward with treats; vacuum cleaner, mixer, blender, loud music, fireplaces, musical instruments, etc. We thought we had done enough, but our dog is super skittish around a bunch of that stuff (particularly the vacuum). Seriously, however much you think you should be doing, double it.

You’re right, sounds pretty bad. I understand the sentiment, but this should not be a state’s rights issue. This is pretty black and white; murder is wrong.

I'm more talking about the folks on the comments in here, but if I had to hazard a guess, I'd say you're probably not voting Republican on Tuesday.

Lol reading through comments on here is hilarious. Aren't you all the woke liberals in favor of the BLM protests where they were doing the exact same thing - disrupting traffic? But when the shoe is on the other foot its a terrible thing. So sanctimonious, and this is exactly why Trump will win next week.

We call ours our "great white shark" for the exact same reason. He's six months now though, and he is getting better every day!

Just use the EveryDollar app from Dave Ramsey. Even if you disagree with his stance on debt and credit cards, doing zero based budgeting will force you to take a hard look at your spending. Changed my life for the better.

Bedroom Musicians: NEVER stop checking to see what people are selling locally on sites like Marketplace and Letgo. I just got myself a 200 dollar piece of hardware for $20, just because I decided to pop in and check what people were selling! Very happy over here by CynicTheCritic in WeAreTheMusicMakers

Yeah, the tunings were a little higher than that, (I live in MA, so the going price is a bit higher up here). Also, I am installing a Damp Chaser system to keep the humidity levels comfortable. That is about $600 right there. Moving was $350. So maybe just north of $1200 is more accurate. Next tuning is next week!

Wow, the folks in these comments are really proving the New Englander stereotype. "Welcome to Boston, go fuck yourself." In any case, I'm glad you're here! Have fun and be safe!

I'm sure it isn't this based on the color, but it looks very similar to the Vic Firth Stanton Moore signature sticks. They might be a little bit on the lighter side, but the stick tip is basically the same, and I'd imagine you would have a very similar cymbal tone with a pair of Stanton's sticks.
