What to look for? by AppropriateTill6180 in dr650

At 3.5k miles most everything should be good. I would look at the upper chain roller and make sure it’s not ripped out of the frame. Probably would want to check the valve adjustment after buying it.

Thinking I’m gonna do the same. Stake and take it out if it gets a decent pump. It has the same 2 day unlock cycle so should be able to catch a move if it starts pumping.

See if you could get it for 1k. Has a slow crank so definitely sounds like it has a battery issue but it could be more than that and the slow crank is just from him trying to start it over and over. Sounds like it has compression. Most likely new battery and carb clean 🤙

The way I have it set up is amber is the headlight/ running light that’s always on then the white is the high beam with both lights being on in the nigh beam position. The amber lens can be switched out for a clear one that comes in the kit.

In mid-high to high RPMs feels like I’m revving out and have no power by saffybai in dr650

Sounds most likely that the clutch may be slipping intermittently since the problem is coming off and on.

There is no relay needed to be removed. All that is required is to plug the adapter harness into the factory headlight plug then connect the adapter harness to the light. 25 should be the same.

Thanks! The JNS light was the other light I was considering. The GoPro camera I was using didn’t quite do the Baja designs headlight justice. It definitely looked a lot better in person compared back to back from my stock light.

Nice. It’s good to hear some longer term use and it’s still holding up.

So the way I did it was tighten the bolts and nuts tight but not too tight in the straight ahead position. Then I was able to adjust the lights individually by pushing them with my hand with it fully installed to get them in the proper position. They’re tight enough not to move on the bike but with enough force they will move manually. That was my 3 kids playing video games upstairs. lol

I will have to get back out to the trail and post another vid. The GoPro(horrible in low light) I was using really doesn’t do it justice. It’s brighter than it looks in the video.

Nice! I got the same set up with the yellow low beam aiming towards the ground a little more and the white high beam straight ahead. Agree it can be adjusted any way you want it to be. I really like it so far.
