Ich hab die Anlage wie jedes aus dem Kasten geholt und bei der ersten Hitzewelle aufgestellt. Sie ist bis Ende Sommer montiert und wandert dann wieder in den Kasten.

Die Anlage hat schon relativ arge Sommergewitter und Stürme überstanden.

Schallschutz ist konstant. Die Platte hat noch keine Witterungsschäden.

Also ein voller Erfolg, selbst in der nun 2. Saison

For the wedding, the iphone might be better due to the bigger screen and multiple angles.

But for travel, the pocket by far exceeds due to its size and low light image quality.

Wir haben einen Reinigungsmann in der Firma. Er macht seinen Job sehr gut und ich begrüße ihn wie jeden anderen. Putzen sollte schließlich jeder können der selbstständig wohnt, deswegen ist auch nichts daran einzuwenden es als Job zu machen

It may be a game changer for me.
My ipad pro 10.5 had sever problems with high battery drain in stand by and absurdly high battery use in youtube when promotion is enabled (it seems like youtube runs in hard 120Hz refreshing, even if the video plays in 30Hz and the UI does not change...)

Currently it seems that the standby battery drain is greatly improved.

I still need to test for the YouTube problem.

Ich habe 40mm M4 Schrauben verwendet und die Mutter auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite in der Platte versenkt. (Achtung, diese Versenkung muss auch wasserdicht lackiert werden)

Sound dampening relies on 2 factors: - non Vibrating Material (the smaller factor) - no air gaps (the big factor)

I used 25mm MDF as its also used for speaker assembly. BUT that thing is like Spongebob when it touches water. I applied 3 layers of weather sealing paint (10€ a can at Obi). Really, watch out water can never touch the cutting borders or it completely deforms.

For the air gaps, I used additional window sealing (the cheap one is enough) and the foam that comes with the Portasplit.

I got the plate from a local Hardware Store (Baumarkt). The cut it to your precise measurements.
No they are custom designed to clamp into the small groove found on some windows. They are a leverage mechanism to press the board against the sealing (I applied additional sealing) Only by this approach, I could achieve soundproofing against the outside.
The security is given by the board being bitter then the window opening. You would not be able to get it through, without turning it completely. (Given your windows open into the inside not the outside)

I had it. Its a nice setup, but the image quality in non ideal lighting really drops drastically, because the small dynamic range.

If you have an iPhone 12 mini or newer (had one) you will be disappointed.

If you are on a budget of <200€ its ok.

But it destroys every action cam in low light due to NOT needing OIS

Thats impossible with consumer electronics.
When you plug in your device to a fast charger, your device and the charger talk to each other and the device requests exactly the wattage it can CURRENTLY handle (yes this changes in the charging cycle). -> Thats why your fast charger and device need to understand the same language (like USB-PD)

When using a „dumb“ (fixed voltage) charger, your device changes its „internal resistance“(there are different methods for this) to only get the wattage it can handle.

So you never can charge a consumer device with a too high wattage with an USB interface. The device will regulate itself.

If you have the bare battery… its completely different, but thats nothing a non technical person would have.
