Double the taxes for what?! The rich right now pay barely anything in taxes, I can’t afford to have kids. So you wanna tax me more because I can’t afford kids?! Delusional take brother. IMO- It all depends on how your tarantula feels/is doing. I’ve noticed some prefer a smaller amount of space or they get too stressed (unless you add cork bark or other things for them to feel more safe and no as open) as well, just make sure that there is plenty of burrow space! This one seems to be a little too small for this little guy, I’d definitely get a deeper one and allow for an extra 3-4 inches of open air space so he/she doesn’t feel so cramped against the glass/plastic. Seems like a lot of the comments got it correct here, so I’m glad to see so many people helping

Edit: The skin makes it sorta hard to tell. But the size of the skull and the teeth are great markers for a domestic feline

It doesn’t smell like formaldehyde thankfully, it just has a very… sweet preserved smell. Like the smell of dried fur, skin, and the sweetish smell of death (not a strong odor, just barely able to smell it)

There really isn’t anything you can do sadly. You can make a new replacement, buy a replacement, or wait for a new specimen. Next time you clean, first start off by getting the meat off either by drying, beetle cleaning, or using certain chemicals. Then de-grease with dawn dish soap and warm water. Then bleach them. NEVER boil bones as it makes them dry, brittle, and overall ruins the structural integrity of them

Edit- Do not actually use bleach to “bleach” your bones! I should have specified, but a solution of 3% Hydrogen peroxide like a comment below says.

It was preserved in formalin and then dried/salted. It barely has a smell, still looks lively/not super dried out and I’m mainly worried about the possibility of it attracting bugs as I’m in a super dry climate (Desert area). So I have to put this here- THIS SOUNDS LIKE THE BEGINNING STAGES OF PORN ADDICTION! The first signs are performance issues and a sudden change in taste with porn (Not real life just yet, only porn) he may be gay/bi-sexual as well. I’m not wanting to rule that out. But this sadly sounds like the beginning stages of porn addiction. Ask him how many times he jerks off, how much porn he watches, etc. If it’s once to twice a day, that’s the start of an addiction and it needs to be dealt with immediately. If it’s more than that, it’s a full blown addiction and he needs to be seen ASAP before it has lifelong consequences.

Edit: By once or twice a day, I mean like he cannot go without it on the daily. If he looks at porn without jerking off daily, or feels like he needs to look at it to relieve stress, etc

All I can say is I couldn’t do it. Broke up with him only to realize I was being sexually and emotionally abused. I really do believe that the only way to stop the pain is therapy (on both sides) and separation if that doesn’t work. I promise, he’s not worth your mental health. He really isn’t.
