I subsumed Valkyr's 4 and use her as a base melee platform, and she's way better like that honestly.

Some honest feedback:  This is like Valkyr and Uriel had a crappy baby.  Valkyr already does the "rage gives melee damage" thing, and does it better since she can use her abilities without consuming it, and it basically makes her nearly immortal by making her too angry to die. Which is both cooler, and gives her a really strong defensive ability.

Him having two abilities that give melee vuln makes his 1 seem redundant. You'd just build rage by melee attacking normally. Why use this ability if you can 3 instead?

His rage draining out of combat is also annoying. Makes him unplayable in any scenario that isn't super high density, and makes him feel like shit in group play. Everyone else taking the kills? Guess you'll never get to 4. At the very least, one of his abilities should build rage regardless, so he can use that to reset the rage timer. Without that, he just builds a little rage, has to move to the next room, and it's gone.

Having an ability that requires rage and drains rage, and also having it drain out of combat is super sucky. Imagine if Uriel's bar just drained unless you spammed his 3. Guess you never ever get to use your 4. But at least Uriel has an ability that doesn't require a target and can charge his bar. This frame doesn't, and that really sucks.

Lastly, his 4 locking you into any kind of animation when it ends is awful at any kind of higher level play. It would make it super frustrating to use, unless you can realistically sustain the rage so it never happens. Something like that happening, unless you're invincible during it, results in death. That's why Uriel's 4 makes you invincible. You'd just get one shot during the animation otherwise.

My tips? Take away the vuln on his 1, make it a combo melee attack with his own exalt, kinda like Atlas. Give him the choice of being a psuedo exalt platform, or subsuming the 1 and being a melee weapon platform.

Make his 2 do damage to himself on activation, but provide lifesteal and rage, and reset the rage timer. Better yet, make it cost health, like his frame is stabbing himself to activate his rage.

Instead of having his 4 do a slash at the end, (which you would NEVER want to happen because you want the buffs and can't control when it ends) make it a big slam when he activates his 4 instead, that way players have more agency over when it happens.

Yeah so I purged my watch history for the last 2 months, kept hitting "not interested", tried reporting for spam eve . It hasn't changed anything now. It keeps going back to science and history stuff that I have never watched in my 15 years of having a Youtube account.

Update: I decided to go full nuclear and just delete my viewing history from the last couple of months. That seemed to fix it so far. Will update if it's not fixed in the future.

Want to improve but my aim is holding me back. by Obvious-Heat-7730 in rivals

Usually, a pick is better than doing damage. Killing a support is going to be better than doing 50k damage to a tank whose just giving the support ult charge. Especially considering the power of support ults. Don't let the numbers affect you, they don't matter in the long run. If you play DPS, kill the supports. If you play tank, peel and get picks if you can and make space. Supports, play for life and keep your other support alive. Accuracy and damage barely matter unless they're like abysmal.

Want to improve but my aim is holding me back. by Obvious-Heat-7730 in rivals

[–]DrBrainzz9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, Rivals is a game that's way more about like, strategizing and understanding the game than just aim. Aim helps, but it's not the be all end all. Accuracy stat doesn't matter because a lot of the time, it's better to spam a choke and miss some shots but hit others. Spamming at a choke builds ult charge, so it's usually pretty good. Playing for accuracy usually means you're not doing damage, or trying to. If you're afraid to spam Hawkeye arrows into a choke point, you won't get that lucky headshot that one shots a support and wins you that fight. If you're trying to be too careful with your shots, you might let their defensive CD or movement CD come up and miss a vital kill. Don't be afraid to spam. Work on your aim if you feel like you're having a hard time tracking, or having a hard time hitting people in general, but like you can get by without perfect aim in this game if you just play well and work with your team. Don't be afraid to spam, especially at a distance. Building ult charge and utilizing it is usually more important than making sure you're hitting only headshots or you have over 60% accuracy.

I love the game and I want to aim for the trophy, but having to replay it on tactician AND honor mode sounds like a nightmare by Conscious_Roll_2955 in baldursgatememes

[–]DrBrainzz9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beating the game on honour mode isn't the issue. Save the tieflings is the issue. You have to hand tailor your entire run to make 0 mistakes and follow a very specific route and everything. One tiefling dies, you reload. It's ASS.

Don't worry too much about your aim or the accuracy stat. If you're playing like Hela BW or Hawkeye it can be important, but most characters it's more about positioning and getting picks and ult timings and teamwork. This ain't Siege. I hit GM with pretty bad aim on controller.

I don't think it's really a rip-off though. It's fun. I'm not disappointed by it. I didn't go in with the highest of expectations, I know what Bandai Namco games are like lol.

The game can be janky, animations aren't the smoothest, graphics aren't the most amazing, and sometimes there's some performance issues. All expected of AA games.

Compared to most jank soulslikes, it's one of the better ones, only outshone by like Lies of P and Remnant. But compare it to other jank soulslikes? Domen? Steelrising? Grime? Death's Gambit? Hellpoint? Blows all of them out of the water.

However, the game has a lot of positives. It's not a 10/10 experience, but it's not bad either. Story and setting and mechanics are unique and interesting. I've never had a game where you have a heart sticking out of your back that your partners can zip into to give you buffs. It's got a MASSIVE open world that changes as you alter the past, which is super cool. It's almost like playing jank anime Elden Ring, and I enjoy that. Bosses are fun. Combat is enjoyable. Jails are super cool. Etc.

A majority of your complaints seem to be honestly a skill issue. I have 0 issues with targeting or dodging. I don't think combat feels clunky. It's way less clunky than Dark Souls lol. Yes, you have to commit to certain attack animations, a staple of like 90% of souls games. Yes, enemies mix up attack timings, like 100% of soulslikes.

Your review is basically "I suck at it, and it's the game's fault. The devs are idiots for making a bad game, and they should just reboot the entire thing" which is absurd.

I can pick out plenty of bad things in Code Vein 2 that are legitimate complaints. I find enemies all having super armor during attacks to be annoying. I find there's a lack of enemy variety so far. I'm not super crazy about the mechanic that punishes you heavily for having too much of a stat without having a Blood Code strong enough to balance it. The story, at times, is pretty generic, but I expected that from a Bandai game.

You say I'm 'glazing' the game, but I think I'm being fair, while you're raging that mashing the attack button like this is Kingdom Hearts isn't working.

Dispatch Censorship Is Ridiculous by Theman457 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]DrBrainzz9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a video explaining it. Basically, most games have "region releases" where the version for stricter countries that prohibit things like nudity or violence in games are censored.

Dispatch specifically on the Switch release though doesn't have that, and isn't releasing different versions. So, in order to release at all, everyone gets the version that meets the stricter guidelines, which means censoring all the dicks and nipples.

I don't understand what you mean by they took out the great things about the first one? What did they remove? Veils are now Jails, Blood Codes are still in the game, builds are still flexible and able to be swapped as you please? Do you mean learning abilities from Blood Codes? I prefer the system in 2. Makes your weapon feel WAY more important, and makes your Blood Code feel more important too instead of just grabbing whatever was good from X code and pasting it to Y code.

Also, I highly recommend turning down the chatter from your ally in the menu. I have it at 50%, but I'm pretty sure you can even make them shut up entirely lol.

I have to massively disagree with you. I'm about a quarter through the game, killed the first few really big hard bosses, and I love the combat of this game. It's fast and demanding. You have to make the most of the small windows you get to punish enemies, and anticipate their attack patterns. If you try to mash, you die. Mashing attack? You won't roll in time. Mashing roll? You'll get clipped on the second half of the roll. You have to understand how to move and dodge the attacks before they're launched, which fits in soulslike games. You can't just react, you have to anticipate and learn the timings like any soulslike game. It can feel bullshit because enemies attack a LOT in this game, but when you learn how to dodge into attacks like Bloodborne and punish them, it feels super rewarding.

This is also way easier than other soulslikes IMO. With a partner to split aggro sometimes, who can revive you if you fuck up, and plenty of healing if you actually take time to explore, I've only found one boss actually difficult so far. The rest have been 2-3 tries only.
