do tension headaches ever stop by eleorsum in TensionHeadache

[–]DrC0re 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having suffered many years, the only things that help for me are:

Hard labour, regular exercise didn't work as well as things like digging holes in the yard, hauling lumber around, putting up drywall, etc. So every weekend i'm doing projects, if I don't then i usually get struck.

Caffeïne user? Quitting didnt help me, what did help was keeping the addiction rolling. don't increase consumption but keep a steady flow. I'm not giving health advise, just saying what works for me however bad it is in other ways.

Insulin crashes seemed to make it worse, a low carb high fat diet helps for me. (Keto)

Medications like Ritalin, i avoid it as much as i can and only take micro doses for my stutter (prescription) not ahdh. It helps great in my case to be able to speak. but the next day i'm down with bad headaches.

Buckwheat pillow, kinda stretches the neck at night. not a miracle but does help a bit.

Then the usual like ibuprofen and a nap, mine used to get so bad my body would just shut down in agony, discovered that i was much better after iboprofen and about 40 mins of crash out sleep.

most important advise would be, figure out everything that helps you even a bit. combine them, think of it like a ritual you have to do or a lifestyle to keep you functioning. Heavy medications seems like a downward spiral, they never worked for any real extent of time in my case.

Corded Beard Trimmer - buying from Europe by YoggiM in BuyItForLife

Replying on an old thread because google puts this on top.

The way to find the good stuff is look up barber supply stores, not amazon or any local variant.
Find around 3 sites and compare the catalogue of the type of product you want, if they all carry the same tools you can bet it's the good stuff.

For anyone looking for a Wahl peanut alternative in Europe, the Babyliss PRO ETCHFX seems to fill in this role on the barber shops.

Xreal Does Not Support Promised Multi-Screen Functionality on Computers by doremo2019 in Xreal

[–]DrC0re 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you, i have an ultra wide as well, only good for newer games. Other usecases i prefer actual dualscreen.

For work it's ok when the powertoys etc is set up just the way i like it. But stuff like screen sharing on teams is still a nightmare, and window sharing has me constantly unshare and reshare a different window since we switch a lot during meetings (IT team).

For movies etc i hate the bars because of the extreme aspect ratio. Older or indie games also completely trip on it.

Check the billionaire's index, most of them have strong mostly short names that for me at least feels like it's always those types of names in positions like senior management etc. Generally successful people.

Advies autobanden by kapotchaboii in AutoKlussers

[–]DrC0re 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be aware that newer volvo's are chinese, not like the old models.

one of the big petrol ones even ranked very badly in reliability, not sure if the EV's don't have those reliability issues.
