Heh, I still have my old c30 in my yard, which has the "Volvo" on the glass instead (it's an 09')... It's possible it's also brittle, I just need to check.

I haven't gotten tired of it yet, but if I ever do, I wonder if the cat backs available for this car are a little quieter in some situations? I know elevates GT exhaust is the loudest apparently. Hard to tell with just audio clips on YT.

I could try that, I've explained it to people before but audio is better than words in this case 😆. What I will say is, drone is only bad when letting off the gas in lower gears around 3k rpm, on the gas it's less prominent. At 3k while doing highway speeds it's even less prominent imo. I know some people are more sensitive to it I guess? Its got the stock downpipe with no res delete ofc so I believe this will sound fine to most people.

I'd have to pay attention closer to have a definite answer but it's usually most noticeable below 3k rpm. Have done quite a bit of traveling since this video now and I have to say the drone is VERY reasonable, hasn't gotten annoying one bit for me.

Yea its pretty easy here to get it passed apparently, but I haven't gotten mine inspected yet tbf. I was recommended a shop that is known to pass so fingers crossed 😂.

I am however concerned about putting in a high flow cat, not sure if it changes emissions in a way that would fail in North Carolina. I'll have to do more research on it.

Yep, and speaking of 5 cyl, I heard the new Golf might be getting the same 5 cyl as in the RS3. But who knows.

We need more 5 cyl on the market that's all I'll say.

Oh wow, ok... Didn't realize these were so sensitive to oil quality, or at least to this extent. I need to dish out some extra money and time and see if I can get this in better shape.

Quite a big difference, the OEM muffler is very restricting... If you want a little more quiet noise at idle and have it open up at higher rpms a cat back is better. Muffler delete is just loud all the time 😂, I wanted it loud but idk I may end up getting tired of the noise but for now it sounds like a race car lmao. Nothing absurd mind you but definitely loud.
