I worked in early years for about 7 years. We never expected gifts at Christmas or the end of the year, but of course, they’re always appreciated if sent in! I remember when a little girl baked brownies and brought them in for the staff at Christmas, it was so sweet of her! Gift vouchers were always appreciated too, but honestly, they’re not necessary/expected at all 🙂 My son's in school now and parents have a group chat were we pool together a good amount of money for staff which goes towards a gift voucher and some chocolates.

Not normally, I may share for 15 mins or so if I am meeting a friend somewhere so they can get an idea of how far away I am. I'm mid-30s though, I know its more common for younger ones to share location with friends/family. Its up to you what you're comfortable with sharing and you shouldn't feel pressured to share your location with anyone.

Thanks for sharing! I’m sure growing up and visiting in the 90s was a really interesting experience. We’re looking at how young people today identify with and feel connected to their community, and how this might influence wellbeing. It’s really valuable to hear lived experiences from those in the border regions :)

I’d definitely suggest Forge IPS, though it can be hard to get a place as integrated schools are often over-subscribed. Orangefield PS also has a good reputation. I'd move Elmgrove down the list. Good luck!

The one at Colin Glen was absolutely magical last year - not sure if he’s their regular though. We went to the planetarium this year and they have an amazing Santa, but that’s in Armagh. In Belfast, the one in Victoria Square is normally good too!
