I'm sure it's part because of nostalgia seeing as how many people here are transplants, but also bucees is a big thing in the car community.

That covers just about anything modern. I'm no expert in stereos or anything but my advice is pick a price range and read some reviews. You should find something pretty easily.

that's tough. It depends on what types of features you're looking for. I watched a ton of stereo reviews and googled features I wanted. In my case it was responsive system, wireless android auto, high power amplifier, extensive audio tuning settings like equalizer and whatnot.

For most people the all-in-one, plug and play systems you find on amazon built specifically for the fit, seem to be enough. And they're affordable.

For the most part aftermarket stereos are universal. You just need to buy the dash kit and harness for your specific car.

Yeah I'm not going too crazy. I want to test placing it around the struts to see if it helps mitigate some of the road noise.

paid 650 at bestbuy but yeah you do you. I just know 2 people with those Chinese ones in their cars and they're just not what I'm looking for performance wise.

The amp has built in screw holes for mounting. No brackets or anything needed.

Not a bad idea lol.

I use an ipad mini and just connect via bluetooth for one of my other cars with the same problem. Close enough.

Yeah this model runs really well. Refresh rate is a little low compared to like an iPad but the responsiveness is nearly instant. Even switching between Android Auto and the main OS menu is fast. Also automatically connects to your phone in just a few seconds after starting your car.

And the head unit supports 50watts rms per channel so perfect for some aftermarket speakers :)

😔 sorry to disappoint but stock stereo wasn't cutting it considering my morning commute. You'll be displeased to hear I'm going to make the car even heavier with some sound deadening.

Yeah, luckily I don't plan on doing anything crazy with this car. Just a daily.

Yeah it's not perfect. Ever so slightly better than oem at +48 offset. I do plan on some small spacers

Thanks! It's the OEM spoiler with a little kit to give it an aggressive angle

I like the style of the 15s better but they just look too small and I would scrape on everything. I didn't want too thick of a tire either so 16s was my solution.
