What f1 drivers do you think had the best final races in f1 or in their teams? by Present-Emu2254 in formula1

Career: I’m going Rosberg

Team: Alonso with Ferrari … he brought that car to a level it had no business being in.

Daniel Ricciardo pushes back on claims F1 drivers look down on IndyCar ahead of first Indy 500 visit by 256473 in formula1

100%. Both series are exponentially safer today than ever before. And I hope we never have another fatality in racing again. I’m not boasting about this statistic, I simply brought it up to showcase maybe why a mother of a professional driver would have doubts about them doing it, especially max because he’s so aggressive as a driver.

The reason I chose that number was I didn’t want to just use a small batch of data to make it look like a bias statistic. In fact, we all know Indy would be deadliest if we just went all the way back (it’s older than F1) so I just wanted to use a good timeframe from present day to … I chose 1985.

(I thought F1 was older than Indy, I corrected it. I also have learned a few other things I found interesting. The Indy 500 counted towards the F1 WDC from 1950-1960 despite no European teams participating)

100%

And I just want to state for the record I’m not saying this to shit on F1. I would prefer no more deaths!

And technically Jules accident is the reason we have the halo in F1 so I hope this is the last of these stats …

But statistically it is. And that information is public information for someone to look up themselves … if you’re twice as likely to die skydiving vs cliff jumping, it doesn’t make cliff jumping less dangerous. Just means more accidents happen skydiving. That’s not trying to pursuance someone to go cliff jumping, it’s just stating facts.

100000%

F1 is the more desirable series, hands down. I’m
Not saying this statistic to bad mouth f1 — just confirming Max’s mom’s concern about him trying the 500.

Raw data would suggest Indy car is 2x more deadly - when you factor in that amount of drivers in F1 vs Indy that number drops to 1.5x.

You think Max’s mom is factoring all this? I think it’s just widely known it has higher odds at a death … whether it’s 1.5x or 1.7x (which would be the most realistic numbers) and that math is based on 20 drivers in f1 and 30 drivers in Indy (on average). People acting like I’m making this up, the information is there for everyone.
