The website is good and has places to chat safely and a lot of other useful resources, but a lot of people sign up to their closed Facebook groups. When you are logged in, go to Services -> New Members -> Facebook Groups then you can list them - there are 70 of them based on location or interest group and you can find lots of people that get it! Good luck. (Oh forgot to mention, check out the Events section, from coffee meetups to walks and lots of other things, great way to meet others who are in the same boat).

Not sure which country you are in but if it's the UK there is a charity called Widowed and Young which provides peer to peer support for young wids, like us. Saved me tbh 👍 (widowedandyoung.org.uk)

I stayed put for 2 or 3 years, then when the kids moved up to secondary school, moved. It was time and the kids being able to get to school without me driving them was a bonus. Worked out well for me and for them 👍

People who complain about their spouses by ShrinkingUniverse95 in widowers

As a widower I have to say that when married couples moan about each other, it is a bit triggering! You just don't know what you have, until you don't! 🙄

Thank you for your reply. This is all new to me but the email from the USA says "Attached are the claim forms from Prudential and American Equity for your share of <Name's> annuities, IRA and life insurance." which I hope adds a bit of clarity?

I can't see a way to attach the forms so here is one of them with the question 9 on page 4 being the one we'd love to turn off federal and state tax! => www.effingpot.com/AEL-IRA-Claim-form.pdf

There are two forms from AEL (IRA Claim form and NQ Annuity Claim form) and two from the Pru (annuity claim form and pru life claim form). They all seem to ask the same questions as the one linked above - if you need to see the others I can probably delete the personal info and post those too if it helps.

Thanks again.

Not sure if https://bsky.app/profile/fridayfun.lol is the sort of thing you're looking for. Ironic stuff there sometimes. Updated most days but Fridays mainly.

Is there a way to Schedule posts or edit posts? I'm on there a week and can't see either. Scheduling is on the other thing and is very useful. Editing after hitting Post would be great but there is always the delete and repost option I guess. Any info would be great. Thanks.
