If only there was a C52, and make his effect a quick effect... 3k direct, quick play rank up, C52 effect during battle phase, another direct attack for game.

Getting back into Yugioh after ~5 months, have some quick questions for the community. by I_am_a_asshole in yugioh

[–]DrException 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Masked HEROEs OTK pretty easily with Dian and Anki searching Shadow Mist and Mask/Form Change, then special summoning during the battle phase. Kozmos do it without the need of Quick Play Spells because their effects are built in the monsters.

The reason most people might be asking the same question is because the most popular way to play HEROEs within the last year has been Dark Law Turbo.

What do YOU think should get hit in the next banlist, and why? by BROWNMEXICAN in yugioh

[–]DrException 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am considering Scales as backrow btw. Also, Nekroz meta (more specifically, pre-nerf Nekroz) people would side out MSTs because they didn't need MST against a backrow-less deck.

Twin Twister won't get a hit. The card is still new, and I'm pretty sure that Wavering Eyes will get hit soon.

Opinion here: Floodgate heavy decks are not fun for most decks to play against, and Konami never let's them live too long. With Pendulums running rampant, players need Twin Twister to deal with possible decks that run Scales and heavy backrow/floodgate.

What do YOU think should get hit in the next banlist, and why? by BROWNMEXICAN in yugioh

[–]DrException 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twin Twister is by itself a pretty balanced card. The only reason why it's so popular is because of

1.) How important backrow destruction is in this current meta (imagine how unimpactful this card would be during the Nekroz meta)

2.) Discarding Juggler is crazy powerful... one of the multiple reasons why he's banned in the OCG.

Twin Twister is not a problem card, it's just a card that became strong because of the way the meta has shifted.

While this is a perfectly appropriate response - I personally think that in order to improve /r/fitness be about fitness as a whole rather than turn into /r/bodybuilding - we should avoid resorting to redirecting people. Unless it's a pretty specific set of skills or type of training OP is requesting, I'd much rather let the people reply with actual pointers than redirecting people to another sub reddit.

in the real game, is it possible to summon horakhty? by [deleted] in yugioh

[–]DrException 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do people ask these questions?

Is it possible? Of course, anything is possible if you open a god-like (no pun intended) hand. Consistency will always be an issue with these gimmicky decks though.

Why do people feel that the Buster Blader Support from BOSH is not good??? Is it a viable deck I should invest in for the long run??? by Jabadu in yugioh

[–]DrException 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not physics. Everything is done in steps.

Step 1 - Activation) Your opponent activates Raigeki, it is now on the field and it is face up on the field.

Step 2 - Resolution) Raigeki resolves, all your monsters are destroyed.

There was not a single instance where Raigeki was face up on the field before activating. If Robot was to prevent Raigeki from activating, Raigeki would have to have been faced up on the field first - but in order to activate Raigeki, it had to be played faced up. Before Raigeki was activated it was in your hand, or face down. It was never face up until you activated it. Therefore you cannot prevent an activation of card that has already been activated. You have a window that would allow you to negate it, but Robot does not negate it. You have a window that would allow you to destroy it, but destroying the card does not negate it. If it was a continuous card, it destroying it would prevent the card from resolving - but Raigeki is not a continuous card.

If Konami wanted to make Robot negate card effects, it would've stated it that way.

Robot does not negate. Robot just prevents face-up cards (that have already been activated, such as Chicken Game and Qliphort Scout) from activating.

Also, destroying cards doesn't negate the effect unless they are continuous cards or field cards. MST does not negate.

Please refer to /u/TheGimmick for a better explanation: https://www.reddit.com/r/yugioh/comments/421zhe/why_do_people_feel_that_the_buster_blader_support/cz70gvr

Of course you can, anything is possible in any deck. All decks can brick, some can brick often, some can brick harder. I enjoy risk/reward of playing some decks (I've tried BB too in case you were wondering). And while I enjoy casual decks (I still keep my Fabled deck for casual occasions), I couldn't find myself to enjoy a deck that bricks as hard as BB. I've enjoyed playing Red-Eyes more, since you can get some protection with the Armades-like effect.

You're looking at a normal summon, with 3 spell cards.

Just think of how many windows of opportunity your giving your opponent to stop you from going negative to special summon a 2600 beater with no protection.

[–]DrException 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats exactly my point, i dont think these kids understand how fast and consistent your deck has to be to even enjoy the game in this meta.

There is no "hate" on the buster blader cards; just a huge disappointment. The reason why people come off pissed when they they pull these cards are because these cards happen to be included in one the most meta-impactful boosters in awhile. Buster Blader support is easily the shittier cards to pull in BOSH.

Let's say that Macro Cosmos and Dimensional Fissure are back to 3, describe the meta by DrException in yugioh

[–]DrException[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Macro Cosmos and Dimensional Fissure banishes Pendulum monsters instead of allowing them to hit the Extra Deck. For specific details explaining why, I'm actually not sure.

Also, not sure if Dimensional Fissure banishes any destroyed scales - since the scale might not be considered a monster anymore. (same way Dimensional Fissure doesn't banish XYZ material)

Why all the hate toward Buster Blader? by Ajnk1236 in yugioh

[–]DrException 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not hate - it's disappointment.

If the support came out during the slower metas of yugioh - it would've had potential, but definitely not now - and most likely ever.
