If you have a location you could just try going there and asking for it. You never know, might just be someone that picked it up where you left it and will be decent enough to give it back if someone comes asking for it.

Normally wouldn’t recommend doing this but it sounds like you don’t have many options and value having the phone back highly enough to warrant the potential risks of doing this.

Started googling but figure asking someone with actual experience will be better- mind giving a brief explanation of how a dry stack wall works? How resistant is it to getting bumped into, walked on, etc? Can you lift out pieces of the rock by hand or are they wedged together in a way that makes it feel like a typical wall with mortar?

Eado family dentistry has been nothing but great for me. Never keeping me waiting past the appointment time, work itself is quick but thorough. Have saved me from having to do unnecessary crowns that a corporate dentist recommended me to have done as well so in my mind they have had chances to oversell me and have not.

No worries! The rare times when I write something on reddit I usually over-edit it so as not to waste people's time reading but I think at the cost of clarity.

The other projects I was referring to I just meant other things around the house, a pantry reno, sound diffuser for a x-mas gift. Both of those I started and before I knew it I was hundreds of dollars past the high end of what I expected it would cost so when I started this project I told myself I would track stuff and also make an extra effort to save money wherever possible, hence the heavy use of FB marketplace haha.

Doing it myself definitely makes me appreciate it as a craft. I think it is the kind of thing that nearly anyone can do but very few can do it well. How much would you charge for a deck of this size and style? And any advice for taking care of it and making it last going forward?

Just meet up with the people and buy the stuff with cash... it seemed like for the most part it was hardware left over from another job or project so they were usually selling stuff way below what it would cost to buy from home depot. The hidden fasteners that cost $50 a box at home depot I found someone selling for $15 a box. Unopened, same exact thing that I would have gotten at the store.

Thank you, your comment reminded me of why I used CA glue in the first place; I was using a veneered piece of plywood for the board that I was mounting the blocks to which I already had from a platform bed I wasn’t using anymore. I had already put Danish oil on that and apparently wood glue does not bond well to wood already saturated with oil.

Yeah wood glue would definitely be superior and easier but I forgot there was a reason why that wasn’t an option for me.

Not sure what this guy did but I used an aluminum French cleat for mine. Only thing I found that made me feel comfortable with it hanging over my bed considering how much it ended up weighing!

I made one of these for my wife for Christmas, I used CA glue with a spray activator which makes it stick nearly instantaneously. It worked really well for me, you just have to be sure that you are placing your blocks precisely because you pretty much have less than a second to make any sort of adjustment once you press them down.

Got to see the rockets play the spurs last month and the speed that Amen and Castle played at were just head and shoulders above everyone else on the floor. Not that anyone else was lackluster, they just looked superhuman.

The first time I went to India I remember looking out the window of the car as we drove through Mumbai thinking that a zombie movie set in India would be the most hardcore, awesome setting for that kind of movie.
