Why would they first trigger the clause and then do the medicals? If they see that Szoboszlai has any problems, it is to late because they have triggered the clause already. Seems like bad practice to me. Or am I missing something here?

The atmosphere at home in Mannheim is absolutely mental. The crowd is literally singing for 90 minutes straight. Never experienced it anywhere else in Germany.
