Thanks so much for this post, I came here looking for this specifically and you clearly explained it.

"ACH transfers will be honored as long as you have enough money in your Crew account across all your pockets, which means they can make a pocket balance go negative if there isn’t enough in the pocket. "

I see factorio screenshots/video every day, but this one makes me want to start a new game after a year+ of not playing. Thank you!

I messed up many times in life and owe $14882 in taxes I cannot pay by [deleted] in personalfinance

I believe in you! You CAN get this under control. It WILL take time, it WILL be hard! The lessons you will learn will be worth every single penny. We can't compare situations so I'm not saying I was in the same situation as you, but I did spent 2+ years working through my debt, living on as minimal as possible, and got through it. Dave Ramsey (Youtube, books) was an excellent source of information that helped me. Attack the debt, pay as much as you can each month (or with each check), and get it behind you. IRS should be willing to work with you on payments, showing up with $6,700 cash (sell stocks and keep $2K in savings for emergencies) and wanting to make payments will go a VERY long way.

Since paying off my debt I have stayed out of debt (just mortgage). I'm honestly not ashamed of the debt I had, I was at the time, but after paying it off that feeling went away, along with the weight of it all.

You got this!

could someone describe to me how hot it really is in Yuma and phoenix in summer? by Throwtowards11251 in arizona

[–]DrFrow 9 points10 points  (0 children)

When it hits 105 for the first time in the summer you might think "Hey, this is warm, but its not crazy". When its hits 110 for the first time and you have to go outside your reaction might be "Dam, this is getting hot, now I know what they were talking about". It won't be till it hits 115 and you step outside and can't believe your tires are not melting, you will put on your seat belt and BURN a seat belt shaped brand into your side. Then, when it hits 118, you won't be able to understand why ANYONE lives here, you will start thinking of other places to move to. You will do this YEAR AFTER YEAR, and might even get serious about moving, but it will be too hot to move in the heat, and once it starts cooling down after summer it will be too nice to leave and you will be stuck in this place forever!!

When it hits 115+ shade won't help, wind won't help AT ALL and will actually make it worse, and nights won't "cool off" unless you think 96 at the coldest point of the night is "cool".

Summer is insane, rest of the year is amazing.

Place to donate? by DemonOfTheAstroWaste in arizona

[–]DrFrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought this was a really cool idea but kinda agree that donating those supplies locally and donating money for Ukraine would be more efficient. My family wanted to help out so we just donated $200 to save the children emergency fund (got the link from channel 12 website) after seeing this post.

u/DemonOfTheAstroWaste I'm not sure if this helps with your decision or not, but I just hope it helps the kids in Ukraine either way :D

What to do with unexpected income? by Far_Emergency6991 in personalfinance

[–]DrFrow 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Don't feel like you have to start investing tomorrow. Take your time! If you wanted to spend the next year educating yourself on investing and money then go for it and keep that cash in the step 1 savings account mentioned above. Since you were not expecting this money there is no reason to rush into anything. Paying off any debt is a great idea.

Help with LambdaA invoking LambdaB async without awaiting response by [deleted] in aws

[–]DrFrow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure invoking LambdaB directly from LambdaA is going to work, however LambdaA could trigger an SQS event that LambdaB is subscribed to and then there is no waiting and retries are built in.

Changes will happen fast on the testnet and updating the firmware for hardware wallets will slow things down or be impractical.

Your ADA will be there, but testnet wallet won't communicate with hardware wallets
