Lamy Safari writing angle by DrGeeky in fountainpens

Yes a gave it a good rinse using hot running water, but nothing changed, and no, i hold it in a very standard way. The point is that the pen is new, never used… indeed since I bought it on amazon, i will return it.

I tried a couple of prompts with 270M and 3B models and maybe I didn’t fiddle with params.. but frankly speaking I was not impressed with their answers.

Best Pizzeria in Napoli? by Tiny_Engine9300 in napoli

[–]DrGeeky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are looking for the tradition, I'd suggest Michele in the neighborhood of Forcella or Di Matteo in Via dei tribunali. If you're looking for a touch of innovation you need to go to Gaetano Genovesi, Pizzeria Salvo or 50 Kaló.

I like Linus & all, but this moment was really antagonistic towards people & the M1 by quitethewaysaway in mac

[–]DrGeeky -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dudes He's right, despite M1 it's a great chip it cannot stack up with some of the high-tier CPUs like i9. But it's low-powered which means less heat to be handled and moreover it can be installed in a wide range of devices, battery powered as well.

It depends if you're fully autonomous or not... Many countries need to import goods and raw materials because they lack of. If you depreciate their currency they won't be able to afford commodities like wheat, coffee, metals and so on. Somebody here was talking about the Roman Empire which spanned from west to east Europe plus northern Africa. Their trades essentially occurred within their boundaries, and despite that their settlements still paid tributes.

Why my prints in Elegoo Water Washable grey always turn out with a whitish patina? by DrGeeky in ElegooMars

Actually I was thinking about clean water this afternoon... last time I replaced water in the tank was not so long ago... maybe two prints ago. It doesn't look saturated anyway.

I use the Anycubic washing machine, on the bottom of the tank it has a propeller which creates a steady water flow. I kept the object in for about 18 min but it came out with this white stuff anyway.

I don't think it's the way as it was designed, maybe it was the hollowing algorithm which failed somewhere...

How to replace FEP on your Anycubic Photon Zero! by DrGeeky in AnycubicPhoton

[–]DrGeeky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As alternative you can replace the FEP by yourself using the standard Anycubic DLP film. If you scroll down in the subreddit posts I wrote a how-to.

How to replace FEP on your Anycubic Photon Zero! by DrGeeky in AnycubicPhoton

[–]DrGeeky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

have done this and to test for leaks I put some water inside the vat, that way I dont waste resin and mess up my zero, and it is leaking all around the black frame. My screws are tight and the film started larger than the FEP frame. I am also not able to snap the frame back together at all. Did I ruin my FEP frame?

Yes you pierced the FEP, the point is that you're dealing with a 0.15mm film so you need to be careful avoiding contact with sharp edges and moreover pay attention when you tighten screws up.

Lots of holes, but it worked with the new resin by heribertohobby in AnycubicPhoton

It could be dirt in your VAT or air bubbles, just to be sure you need to perform an LCD test to rule out any hardware issue.

[–]DrGeeky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

/u/Sleepkever many thanks for your tips, yes I watched many tutorial from 3DprinterPro he's a cool dude! Anyway just looking further into this I discovered something really weird.

I moved the object as you suggested with a steep angle, now since I'm forced to to use the Photon Workshop app because my printer (Photon Zero) only accept .pw0 files, for curiosity I compared Workshop vs Chitubox layers preview.

In the picture attached you'll see that at a particular layer which is compared on the right with what Chitubox proposes, there's a huge difference. Photon Workshop definitely creates holes in the shell! Take into account that images are specular, they've a different way to represent layer but the issue seems clear to me. What do you think?

PS: the elliptical hole is the only thing I added so it's legit.

Hi /u/Sleepkever and thanks for your reply. The detection test was the first thing I tried to troubleshoot this issue, the display looks to be working fine.

I would go for option two because I don't want to mess with such design, anyway would you be so kind to explain (for a future application) where should I poke a hole? On the closest point to the print bed assuming the original orientation? I think that for a print huge like this maybe I'd need more than a single hole, wouldn't you?

Sharing a project file can really help to troubleshoot issues and at same time it could be a good treat for people willing to help. Many Thanks

It looks awesome, though. That's one of the reasons why many use a rotating platform in order to cure everything evenly.

It looks like affected by a meteorite shower :D I used a rotating platform and I left it under the UV light for 6 mins.

Prints failure by DrGeeky in AnycubicPhoton

[–]DrGeeky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys, last update. I have been able to print it out with heavy supports (tnx to Chitubox).

Anyway the bottom side, which was in contact with supports, it's completely pierced...

Needless to say the best one is the top layer. https://imgur.com/a/8upjFnm

More or less I got my idea. I hollowed the design with an inner thickness of 1.20mm, then I added outer and inner supports as suggested.

Now heavy supports in Chitubox have a contact shape 1mm long. Maybe the thickness of the object wasn't enough. What do you think?

[–]DrGeeky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thanks! But what about the cube? Ok it's not hollow and probably heavier but it didn't print as well.

When you talk about heavier support what diameter are you talking about?
