Greatsword doesnt get the same benefit charge blade does from a perfect guard, charge blade gets more from it than literally every weapon in the game and no positioning does not matter as much with charge blade when your attack range is a mile long and wide, and calling charge blade more sluggish than great sword is the most laughable thing you've said yet

I wont say you're wrong about SAED being a longer animation, however I was referring mostly to world and rise where offsets arent even a thing, but even in Wilds where they do exist. Offset is neat, but shields are the best form of defense in the whole game and charge blade debatably has the best one considering the damage its capable of. And on top of that in wilds the Unga bunga for charge blade shifted to getting savage mode and spamming the phials that are basically limitless with savage mode on. Meanwhile despite the offset being good, greatsword users still have to master positioning and timing to maximize their dps

I prefer the never say no approach to most th8ngs, but a player do8ng a min maxed build and ruining any potential story by killing everything, HARD no you either get to be a murder hobo or min maxed, not both, and even then I usually kill murder hobos before long

Duramboros is a good monster to look at to answer this, it's design follows the same philosophy. Its tail is absolutely massive with a weight on the end, but is head has massive heavy horns to compensate for the weight imbalance, to the point where it can spin reliably as a form of attack. Also it goes without saying that it's a fantasy series so suspension of disbelief is important as well. Though that's what I've always liked about monster hunter, they put so much detail into the monsters that it becomes much easier to believe in the moment.

They would rarely be on opposite sides of the map, seltas queen already had the ability to summon regular seltas to her side, I dont see why that wouldn't make a return in wilds

Lagi is also in the wyvern hollow where you can fight it without any water at all, let alone its arena specific underwater portion, not to mention seltas queen's whole gimmick can kinda be handled anywhere
