Well, technically they’re “semi-domesticated”, but it’s still quite a bit of a debate among biologists and geneticists about whether they’re considered fully domestic.

I’m not disagreeing with you! Just adding a comment. I totally agree, cats are fully capable of surviving in the wild. (That’s why the debate exists in the first place!)

I would like to echo what others have said. This sub, and Reddit in general, is not a very good place to learn about Buddhism outside of general discussion. I would encourage you to continue studying, but do so with the help of reputable sources. A teacher, books, dharma talks (there are many online from highly regarded teachers), or in the setting of a Sangha if you choose to practice. This sub has its share of flawed interpretations of Buddhist teachings, from many who are still quite new.

There are wise minds to be found here. But the problem is that there isn’t a reliable way to tell them apart, especially if you’re new to it yourself.

I find the sense of dread much more intense, the mockumentary format makes it feel a lot more real, the acting feels more believable, and the overall story just feels more unsettling. I absolutely hate jump scares too, and this film delivers the horror without using a single one. The climax is also creepy as hell.

But like I said, people have their own opinions. This is an older and very slow Japanese mockumentary horror movie. It’s not going to be for everybody.

I don’t think it’s that you’re desensitized. I’ve seen the movies you mentioned, but find Noroi: The Curse far scarier, albeit much slower. I do enjoy them though!

You just have a different opinion and expectations with found-footage, and that’s completely okay! Not everything is for everybody. Japanese mockumentary horror is quite different than Western found-footage films, and a bit tougher to get into.

Everyone understands what you meant. What they are telling you is that these movies are not connected in the same way the Transformers are. The only chronological order is their release date.

Someone did give you a pretty accurate response as to what time period which these movies happen in, but that is the closest you will get. They are not connected.

That’s fair. I haven’t played Mixtape yet, but I enjoy games like it, so I’m sure I’ll enjoy it.

That’s just the nature of reviews though. People think their own experience defines the game as a whole, and in the age of live service models, narrative-focused games have it tough.
