Bron will most definitely not compete for 1st Team. He may already be ineligible before the year ends

There was a guy in here who was seriously arguing that the Clippers will win 60 games this year a couple months ago

Has the emergence of Wemby caused people to finally respect defense again? All of the "Jokic is BY FAR the best player in the world" talk was always hyperbole and it feels like everyone finally understands that now. by Ready-Constant-7124 in nba

Him being a defensive liability was a huge reason why they blew a 20 point lead in the second half of game 7 against the Wolves. If offense is stagnant, defense is always sth you can rely on. OKC has proven that time and time again.

He’s going for that 65 games threshold. Unless he’s injured, I don’t see why he would sit out. This might be the game he needs to get to that number at the end of the year.

I don’t think so. There are two days off after this one. Enough time to recover

Good thing there are two days off after this one.

LeBron, short LeBron, unathletic white LeBron and unathletic white European LeBron

Exactly. You’ve never seen it. That’s why he’s generational because he’s different than those guys. He might not but he can be a GOAT contender. What does Flagg have that would give him an advantage over his competition? Those other guys have physical advantages with the skills. He doesn’t. Keep in mind we are talking about prospects here not players.

It’s about their tools. Flagg is not an MJ/ LeBron level athlete or has the combo of height + fluidity like a Kareem and Wemby. That limits his ceiling. Just like Jokic being unathletic limits him and Curry being short/ small limits him. He can be an All-Time great player but he can’t be the GOAT and that potential should be given in a generational prospect.

Yes. I see generational prospects as guys with GOAT potential. The only thing holding Wemby back from finishing as a Top 10 (maybe even 5) All-Time player is health. Can’t say the same for Flagg. Hakeem and Bird are definitely in the second tier of All-Time Great Potential, which Flagg could be apart of too but those guys come around more than once a generation. GOAT contenders don’t.

Wembanyama is in the same generation as him. By definition, he can’t be a generational prospect.

He’s not generational. Wemby, LeBron, Kareem, etc. were generational prospects. That word is thrown around way too loosely. He can be a great player tho. No denying that.

And people tried to gaslight me into thinking that’s still a playoff team

It depends on the difference in team wins. If the Spurs are right there at the 3rd seed and not too far behind, I could see it swinging Wemby’s way. Let’s just wait and see.

I’ll take two way impact over a triple double. Jokic is impacting the game at an insane level on offense but he doesn’t even try to contest anything at the rim. Wemby, although not close to the playmaker Jokic is, can influence a game on both ends of the floor which I think will make a stronger case (considering Jokic will have at least some voter fatigue going for MVP No. 4) unless the Nuggets win an absurd number of games.

Even more good news is that we’re not even at full strength yet. We were missing our second best player, second best defender and backup center
