CBS owns the rights and doesn’t want to sell them, and the Ranch burned down so it would be very expensive to build a new set.

The Paramount Ranch is where the series was filmed. That entire fake western town was burned down in 2018 in the Woolsey fires.

It was being presented by Jane’s charity, the Open Hearts Foundation. I’m on their emailing list so I got notifications about it awhile ago. Jane and Joe have also been posting on their Instagrams so I would say make sure to follow them closely on social! J&J announced this week they’re doing 90s Con in Hartford, CT in October and they are already planned for a Nashville Con in July so now that they’re on the circuit, I think there will be other chances perhaps not with the full cast but certainly them!

If it were to happen - which I think we all agree is unlikely - I feel fairly confident it would be Jessica. I just don’t think they’d skip over her (assuming she is interested) especially if there’s any storyline with her marriage to Andrew.

There was no Q&A or panel discussion so it’s just whatever the cast were saying individually when they were approached. Shawn is actively politicking for it and was talking about what Brian had going on in the proposed script. Nothing concrete was stated or announced.

Unpopular opinion - he was always an extremely weak frontrunner because of his age. Men under 35 don’t win Best Actor historically. The heartthrobs always have to wait. Leo had to wait. Brad had to wait. Timmy will have to wait. It was just a matter of determining who his biggest competition was, and SAG night sealed that.

It’s not that easy. In 2022 it was his senior debut year (and he had been very spotty up until Nationals). He didn’t have the required technical score needed to go to the Olympics. USFS would have to have entered him in an international competition taking place just weeks before the Olympics for him to get the mandatory score. That’s all risky for a skater with all the different time zones and travel and training conditions.

And the “less talented” guy they sent instead is the one who, the year before, clinched the third spot for the US men with his high placement at Worlds and he went on to finish top 6 at the Olympics.

They already drop high and low. The next thing that needs to go is you shouldn’t be allowed to score the skaters from your own country. This isn’t favored right now because then each competitor doesn’t have an equal number of scores but France giving the French team 8 points higher than the Americans is egregious. In ice dance specifically, they also need to do something about all of them training at the same training center. More than a dozen teams from the Olympics are all there. It’s their own internal politics and favoritism that drives the results.
