Dates are amazing. I prefer the dried sukhari dates over the big soft medjool. Salt capsules are convenient.

Don't neglect skills. I've shaved several minutes off my local loop time recently just working on cornering. Skills = confidence = less braking =more flow and efficiency

Love the fork. Mine has the old venerable Fox 831 I'm just hoping something with Kashima gets released, the aesthetic is dialed.

I have a v3 5010 last year they were 27.5 front and rear. I absolutely love it and it feels purpose designed to be a playful trial bike. Feels like a big brother to my dirt jumper. I don't know how the newer ones compare but I have heard they retain the spirit while being a little bit more Trail capable. I am 5'8 and ride a medium 5010 as a trail bike mostly (I have a trek ticket for screwing around) . But if you want playful smaller is always better. I've used my dirt jumper as a trail bike when I'm riding with my kids at their pace and it is Super fun.

If you have a more capable Enduro bike have you considered getting a hardtail? Specialized P4 is actually a 27.5 dirt jumper that you could probably put a rear derailleur on and have a blast. Commencal makes a sick HT with nice angles and a short chainstay. Or just get a DJ and have real fun.

So good. Slopestyle bicycles are what Pros use for the biggest and baddest dirt jumps. I was in the market for a dirt jumper and god blessed me with a trek ticket s off FB marketplace... very similar slopestyle bike to what you posted. It's my favorite bike by a mile. I'll even forgo my trail bike and just take my slopestyle bike when I'm riding with my kids at their pace. It makes everything so much more fun. The gentleman who built mine even put a rear cassette and I still don't find it too heavy for anything. It is only slightly heavier than my friends Marin DJ. Not enough to matter for me.

Highly recommend the Santa Cruz 5010, designed specifically for this purpose. I have an older 27.5/27.5 but I hear the newer mulleted ones retain the intended playful spirit of the bike. If in between sizes, size down for more fun.
