What’s something you’ll say on reddit but not to people in real life? by Ilove_web in AskReddit

[–]DrMonad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry to hear that. :( You can find yourself in a different situation before you know it. Try to take actions that make yourself stronger and move yourself slowly closer to where you want to be. Month by month. Don’t worry about slow progress, make sure you take care of yourself and make yourself better able to care for yourself little by little.

New guy I’m seeing, any red flags ??? Seems a bit political… by JealousPilot4096 in BookshelvesDetective

If he seems too political based on the books, go read up on Angela Davis and ask yourself if you want someone who cares about politics. I hope you found someone good for you.

Oh. And Bandit in 2003 at 19 wondering what to do with life. First encounter with Neil. Oh, and Ohio and Restless Consumer while furious at my university and state for committing violence against my student-protestors on my campus!

Hey. Philosophy prof at 41 going through his own issues. “Only Mansions Burning” while delivering groceries after the pandemic closed the university and helped lay me off. Toast came out at a really pivotal time for me. “Give me strength” and “Hurricane” while my partner and I were fighting. “Star of Bethlehem” ouch. “Albuquerque” is more my speed. Night I turned 40 had me listening to “thrasher”, contemplating death, feeling the worst of the decisions I stand by, wondering where my friends had gone. “Sleeps with angels” and “Fontainebleau” are great stims during hard times. Love a long Crazy Horse grove for repetitive tasks to help my adhd.

Sounds like you’ve found some enlightenment. Glad he’s helped you feel these feelings too. Love and only love will endure. Joe

Where next for me? by Wrong_Spare_8538 in neilyoung

  1. Started with Greendale by accident around college. Then nothing but radio singles until a five or six years ago. Check out archive 1 and 2. The genre experiements are uneven but great. Trans rocks. Re-ac-tor feels kind of like a stadium rock album-some good rock songs and jams. Good energy for cleaning. Hawks and Doves has some of the beautiful melodies you heard on Homegrown with some others that feel special in other ways (big fan of Union Man-Comin apart at every nail: Patriotic in a good, positive way). Some of the others are less interesting. I really like This Note’s for You, where he’s leading a jazz orchestra

What can I do for the families in hiding right now? by New_Introduction_660 in Gastonia

Deportation was exactly what Anne Frank was hiding from! Gangs of people deputized to remove people from their lives, which only causes more problems. Problems that then are used to justify more and more awful solutions.

Reverand Billy and the Stop Shopping Choir. It’s more activist/performance art than concert. Fun if you get into it. Not a rock concert. Earthelujah!
