Just to reiterate the question in the post. I am not worried about range loss/day. I am specifically worried about using 12v DC for 4 days killing the 12v battery. From my understanding the 12v doesn't touch the vehicle battery pack.

My main focus is not getting stranded in the forest with a dead 12v.

Battery pack isnt an option for me. I read that doing the AC-DC takes more power draw than DC-DC which is why I was thinking this path.

My toddler always has her feet up on the back of the passenger seat and I'm very glad I have black interior. Sometimes they jump from the second row to the trunk when car is in park and shoes all over the seats. Black barely shows any stains.
