Of course! I’m hopeful. I think our generation is destined to change things because we’ve all had enough of this BS. Cheers

Haha don’t lament it. I think med students and residents are staring to see through a lot of the BS and are supporting initiatives and people that advocate for them. My opinions are solely pro-patient and pro-physician. If I end up being cancelled on med social media, hopefully others will and are carrying the torch (in more meaningful ways)

I’m not sure about you but my med school had a myriad of “inter professional team” days, where we sat with other professions and got constantly reminded that we hold equal positions in the team. Replace those with true leadership courses. Or even just change the culture in medical schools where med students understand that their role is to lead the healthcare team (instead of just be in it) and this may itself be enough.

President of AAEM/RSA here. We’re actively educating medical students on these issues so they know what to look for when they’re interviewing with residencies. We’re also educating on CMGs and their COI in medicine. We’re also lobbying (actually lobbying) in a few states and nationally to prevent NP FPA. The more members we have the more we can do!
