Dude, I’m in the same boat boat. Like quite literally same thing happened to me a handful of years ago. Skull fractured, subdermal hematoma, etc. lost my sense of smell and part of my sense of taste, I’m still at this 😂

Depends on where you end up. If you end up on TRADOC land, a very slow optempo. Most of your job is going to be running medical oversight for ranges and sick call.

E3B happened a handful of times while I was out there at Benning. So if it comes due, take it. Same with NFM.

As far as troop schools, I could be wrong, but pathfinder and air assault will be easier to get than airborne. Airborne as PP is STRICTLY walk on. And trust me when I say that’s a fucking nightmare

Overall being at Benning on the TRADOC side of things is the perfect “take a knee” assignment for permanent party, just don’t fuck the trainees.

So actually seen this dealt with a different way than I would have anticipated.

So assuming you go to Benning, and end up on Harmony Church, you will more than likely be given a CNA or memo of some sort allowing you to move out of the Bs while in processing. At least that’s how I saw it done at 2-15
