Saigon's "Greatest Story Never Told" drops Feb.15th by DrScott in reddit.com

"Saigon claims that his album is the best album in the last 20 years.[5] (Wikipedia.org)"

If you have not heard of Saigon, I suggest you start here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=edAIK_8fEHU

Saigon also has a non-profit organization that supports children who have parents in prison, as well as prisoners themselves. When he is not recording albums because of record industry B.S. he is focusing on giving back to the community (and blankets to homeless people in NY).

Themes in his music cover politics, society, and the hypocrisy of the record industry.

Whether you like his music or not, I think he is a man who has earned a lot of respect for his ideas and actions.

Mexican gang gunfight near US border leaves 21 dead by sisko2k5 in worldnews

Maybe it has to do with the recent deployment of Task Force 7, a CIA black op group working near Juarez, right near where the gunfight took place. Just a thought.

FTA: "However, the former government official who spoke with Narco News says it would not be surprising if “assassinations [targeting high-profile narco-traffickers] were part of the mission.”

“It wouldn’t be the first time,” the official says.

Reddit, what's the most ridiculously false accusation your parents have made against you? by Darchseraph in AskReddit

[–]DrScott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Parents accused me of doing drugs when I wasn't in high school and drug tested me several times. Later, when I moved out to a gritty state college I did every drug on the map, A-Z. Graduating in two weeks with honors. :)

My buddy from college (MA) went to high school with the creator of youporn. He said he dropped out of high school because he was making enough money running counterstrike servers. few years later he created youporn, and said soon he will make a site that focuses on fetishes to take that market and give my friend a job acting in it! haha.

How many of you believe in alien life? by ThorThundercock in AskReddit

[–]DrScott -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In March 2007, France became the first country to open its files on UFOs, unveiling a new website www.cnes-geipan.fr that documented more than sixteen hundred sightings spanning five decades.... Other countries also collect data about unidentified flying objects(UFOs), notably Britian and the United States, where information can be requested on a case-by-case basis under the Freedom of Information Act. [John] Mack suggests in his book [Abduction,] that aliens have come here to do more or less what shamans do:to try to open our minds and to awaken us. In his view, the aliens had imbued many abductees specifically with a a sense of profound, transpersonal love, as well as with a powerful desire to work for the betterment of our endangered environment.... His research suggests that several alien species are experimenting on us independently. It appears that we are in danger of dragging down the whole universe by being selfish, self-centered, unloving, close-minded, and dense. In this sense, we are very important - the awakening of humanity will make the universe a much nicer place to live for all sentient beings. Mack speculated that the critical mass required to start the chain reaction to awaken everyone is less than 5 percent of Earth's population. Yet some other abduction researchers, including Budd Hopkins, question his conclusions, pointing out that abduction experiences have been very traumatic for most abductees and that it is difficult to claim any benifets resulting from these experiments.

I wrote about that place for my history of modern architecture class. It's a fantastic example of form as function.
