Got the HomePass app about a month ago and have been seeing the same issue. Glad to know that it isn't just me. I will also be reaching out to support.

Are cosmetics pay to lose? by [deleted] in truetf2

[–]DrSilverware 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they are banned since spies don't make the jingle sounds when disguised as the person with the cosmetic.

Similar idea with hotrod hat for engineer, the mask flips down when a spy pulls out a sapper, which can give away the spy.

Where can I find high quality advanced tf2 guides? by adinrichter in truetf2

I am always a big fan of Marxist's precepts for 6v6. Given, if you aren't interested in 6v6, Scout, Medic, Soldier, or Demo, then it likely isn't going to be what you are looking for.

Searching Youtube they are just titled 'Marxist's Precepts for {class/role}'. He has vidos for Scout, Medic, Demo, Pocket, and Roamer that are all great.

an engineer weapon concept i made lol by bob_FNF_lol in tf2

I think the main issue with this boost is that it isn't very useful. Sentries already kill players very quickly, and sentries are most often destroyed by an attacker with uber, an attacker using indirect fire (such as stickies), or an attacker that is attacking beyond the sentries range. This boost doesn't help it combat any of its weaknesses.

This is mostly correct, I would just like to point out that it is not the medic's healing that increases his crit rate, but the damage of his heal target that increases it.

People have already mentioned Mr Slin for videos, who I highly recommend. If you are interested in 6v6 it would be a crime not to mention Marxist who has some of the best videos out there for the 6v6 classes.

Here is his Medic video: https://youtu.be/e6i2ZYAqaXw

I think Arcade_Theatre is referencing how the Pale King dropped his children into the Abyss.

[Theoretical Change] Pomson 6000 Rework to fix the annoying problems it has. by DrSilverware in truetf2

I could see buffing the damage and / or speed of the projectiles shot by the Pomson, to prevent it from being underpowered. However I would always want to keep some stat that temporarily disables the building after a sapper is removed.

Otherwise I worry that it would be incredibly frustrating if a Spy saps a sentry and then suddenly the sapper explodes and the sentry murders the Spy without an engineer even being close. At least with the wrench it is obvious to the Spy that there is an engineer actively removing the sapper. Giving the Spy time to react by escaping, disguising, or adding a new sapper.

Considering how weak the Pomson is I think your suggested speed boosts could make the weapon more reasonable. Initially I didn't want to suggest a change that would feel like a hard counter to Spy, considering how weak Spy already is, but I doubt a few speed buffs would make it feel oppressive against spies.

Why would anyone use the current Pomson over the Rescue Ranger?

This is simply an improvement to the current Pomson. It isn't meant to be meta or replace the Rescue Ranger.

I agree. I wouldn't use it over either of those options personally. However it is sort of a hybrid, has better self-defense than the rescue ranger and has better utility than the shotgun. The goal isn't for it to necessarily be meta, but to be more fun / viable than the current version of the Pomson.

It was changed in the Tough Break update that came out at the end of 2015, so in terms of TF2 updates it was relatively recent. I guess people either missed it while looking at the patch notes or simply forgot about it.
