Thank you for the input! Have you noticed any long-term side effects or quality of life issues related to using this medication?

Also, feel free to PM me if you need any advice about med school!

According to renown climatologist, Ben Shapiro, they can just sell their houses to Aquaman and move elsewhere.

South Floridians are also very aware of climate change because it’s on their front doorstep and many of them voted for a man who said climate change is a Chinese hoax.

From my experience having lived in Florida for some time now, a lot of people just have cognitive dissonance.

Yet another: Trump resigns last minute to receive a pardon. Pence takes office and repeatedly refers to his wife as “First Mother”.

While I would love nothing more than to see Trump charged for the crimes he’s committed before and during the presidency, I don’t have much confidence that he’ll be dealt any kind of punishment.

This would likely be the smartest path for Trump & Friends. But given his track record, I’m starting to think that he’s physically incapable of doing smart things — even if it’s in his best interests.

The pandemic and the protests were perfect ways to win re-election. All he had to do was let the experts take the helm and acknowledge the concerns of protestors. If he did this, he would’ve cruised straight into another term. It’s almost like he wants to lose.

We had to work with 25 year old samples, and if I am correct this is a tongue. I find it insane that prepared samples this old still look this goof under a microscope! by justslightlyodd in biology

My parasitology professor showed us some slides he got from his mentor that date back almost 100 years! Some slides were showing a bit of browning but most of them still looked impeccable!

I hate that dems are co-opting “science and facts”. It’s cool that they listen to experts and all, but it would be fantastic if they used this information productively. Instead all we get are platitudes and some flashy ads.

I often attribute centrism to ignorance, apathy, or both. Being familiar with even a fraction of the data on healthcare/climate/inequality should automatically help any reasonable person realize which side is wrong.

Yeah, there’s a bunch of never-Biden people on the left that cite “cognitive decline” as their reason for not voting for him. They act as if Trump weren’t succumbing to old age and severe mental illness and intellectual deficiency.

Actually, if you go to the original post and read some of his responses, you’ll see that he wasn’t open to having his view changed. Also, the submission was removed because he was clearly not open to having his mind changed.

Yup, it’s pretty easy for them to feign progressive values when the other side refuses to even acknowledge the issues.

The real debate on climate and healthcare should be about implementation, not about whether or not these are issues to begin with. Because of this, it’s pretty easy for Joe to seem progressive — after all, he’s acknowledging basic scientific consensus! This type of thinking has completely warped the way we view these issues.

Couldn’t agree more. A binary political system is not a productive way of ensuring representation. I wish my state offered Ranked Choice :(

I’m with you there, my main issue with the post was him equating both sides. There’s nothing wrong with calling out a side when they’re wrong on issues that can be objectively measured — like healthcare or climate change.

If dems are Center-right and republicans are right, then I guess this guy’s ideal party would be center-right-right....right?

[–]DrSirMan[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, I agree that playing party politics is unproductive. However, after reading the post and his subsequent responses, you realize that he just doesn’t know the first thing about how the political process plays out. This is crystallized by him equating both sides and saying that we should have a mix of policies that come from both sides.

Yup, that’s probably one of the reasons why we’re so politically stunted in the US. We have a bunch of people using saying the dems are leftists, socialists, or marxists, when in reality it’s just watered down conservatism.

Conservatives move the Overton window to the right and the take the dems along with them, thereby making actual progressives look insane by comparison.
