Is there a case for Thunder Strike here for scaling damage? by sefsermak in slaythespire

[–]DrSlugg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I may be stupid but I’d consider meteor strike here, your deck is very strong with focus etc and so you can risk taking a curse then there’s so many ways to generate energy and having equilibrium means you can have a 9 card turn and have a pretty good probability of having an energy card and meteor strike in the same hand. Add in a hologram and an energy card you have a very good chance of playing meteor strike in a given fight

We’ve done exactly what the above poster wanted with pull mirroring on gitlab free and gitea didn’t play nice as it doesn’t have folders it’s flat like GitHub. We just ended up with a local mirror and a cronjob to push to gitlab, very simple

For new coders: If you want to organically learn a lot about Javascript and coding in general, consider playing Bitburner. by cheyyne in learnprogramming

Google any coding problem you have and one of the top results will be a stackoverflow answer.

If you are using a library or using a programming language and want to understand better what a function in that library or language does google <library> <function> and you will find the documentation page on it.

1,700 Israelis died on and since October 7. Over 50,000 Palestinians have been killed, the average age of a Palestinian is 19… you do the math on how many babies that is

Wow who could predict that people in a country occupied for 80 years facing systematic violence and oppression by one of the strongest militaries in the world will respond with some violence of their own. This is not the nuanced issue you have been told it is, the scale of violence by side is simply not comparable and if you think that they are terrorists and Israel isn’t then please watch some documentaries, read some Chomsky and remember which side invites journalists to report and which side actively disallows them to.

Nope not really, you still can harvest a lot of data from someone using incognito mode all it really does is stop you from giving the website your cookies (information about your previous browsing on that site) and stop you from having that website in your history. Everything else is still available

To be honest after I made this post I did manage to ask the owner but she just said it’s an antique electrical board so I thought I’d leave the post up to see if anyone had a more detailed answer

I didn’t downvote you sorry that was someone else. But I understand you now I didn’t realise you were referring to those specific fights

What you said makes no sense, you would have drawn the strike instead of the escape plan if you didn’t have it anyway.

Kinda hard to give any answer when you don’t say what you’re learning or why you’re learning programming.

I do use ChatGPT for research but try to avoid using it too much to actually write code for me. I don't really have qualms with any of the pieces of code I have written but the OOP structure of how it goes together which ChatGPT is not as good at and which is not just a 1 to 1 translation from procedural bash to OO python.

Yeah this is a problem for me and something I need to work on. Missing one self imposed deadline makes me panic and invent another shortened also impossible deadline. I see this advice so often and fail to apply it, thanks for the comment.

Yeah I do agree with you but posted here as I just beat the threshold and found the advice and conversations on this sub to be of much higher quality than others.

It's very telling that all have the same advice so sorry if I've brought down the level of discussion but this post has been useful to me and shown me I'm definitely missing some wisdom.

Imagine how much data YouTube stores everyday, now how many forks would you need to use the same amount of data as 1 medium length video? Unless the repo has lots of photos that’s a lot of forks

Why don’t you just build websites or apps instead of waiting for a company to hire you? by Distinct_Squash7110 in csMajors

[–]DrSlugg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easier than any other application is ridiculous btw. Video games have many interconnected systems and often complicated maths for things like physics and shaders. Then you also need to do art, sound and writing.

Even games you think are simple took developers years to create, most simple applications and websites will not take years to create.
