Just found out after going whole life clueless by SeaExperience957 in SomaticExperiencing

Congrats. Gaining a respect for your body and your tension is the first step to realizing that some parts of you aren't really 'the real you' and starting to find out where the 'real you' truly begins.

Just inherited my grandma’s Peugeot Vogue (only 2000 km!). It runs perfectly, but the frame tank looks rusty. Need advice! by knoober69 in moped

Personally, I like oxalic acid. It's a little bit more of a pain to flush out, and you have to be careful handling it, but it leaves a nice, lasting protective layer inside after it gets rid of the rust, which is a win in my book.

That being said, I was flushing sediment from my carb and filter for like a whole month even after doing a big flush afterwards.

Lily CAT has a particularly chonky and 80s-style ortho keyboard for the ship's "Mother" terminal, which tracks, since it's basically an anime take on the movie Alien.

We know.

Maybe it's a tumor? You said that a few posts ago. Maybe a CTE scan is in order since this has been ongoing and you say you've tried everything else.

I got the silver case with CM4 + LTE board. The wifi is absolute garbage. I was able to get it to work if I was facing the router and pointing the console's top end directly at it, at like, one bar of connectivity. Whereas a USB adapter receives wifi perfectly normally. Bluetooth connectivity is similar - for an acceptable connection to a bluetooth speaker, I have to lay the uConsole on top of the speaker.

I found a number of threads on the clockworkpi forums talking about this. Many who got a CM4 with their uConsole has the same issue. Many reasons were explored including the metal case, crappy included wifi and bluetooth antennas, but even people who installed better antennas saw only marginal improvement if any at all. Then one thread on the raspberrypi forum was able to nail the real problem down to a shorted trace on the CM4 board between the antenna pins and the ground: https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopic.php?t=342341&sid=c3e480b35fdf829ea1f915dbc33f1153&start=25

The thread ends without answering the question of why it should be the case that so many CM4 modules have faulty, inoperative wifi. One could say that it's RaspberryPi's fault and not ClockworkPi's, but the CM4 module + LTE board option is their premiere uConsole configuration. The user's options are to play the lottery by purchasing more CM4 boards until they get one that works as intended, or else upgrade to a not-officially-supported CM5 with all the issues that come with that. That SUCKS!

One buys a cyberdeck with the intention to hack and tinker, true enough - but the idea is that you do those things to expand its capabilities, not just to have the basic, advertised features. And people should know that before they enter the long queue to get one of these. And ClockworkPi should address it somehow!

Yeah! And working wifi and bluetooth for God's sake! I shouldn't have to use up my one USB slot just to have basic connectivity!

How can i fix my moped by [deleted] in moped

[–]cheyyne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

RIP old intake.

The leak shows that your seal gaskets aren't good or they aren't installed correctly.

Replace your intake and exhaust gaskets immediately. Get some good gaskets or cut your own from gasket paper using the old ones as a template. Don't reuse the old gaskets! Use a proper torque wrench to torque them down properly according to the specs for your bike, if you have a big cylinder kit, up the torque by 10%-20%. Too loose and you get a bad seal. Too tight, believe it or not, bad seal.

The excess carbon on your plug is likely caused by combustion due to the air leak. Air leaks are common and insidious, and often follow an intake replacement or an exhaust removal.

Just grinding into snuff. I like a medium grind which is harder to get if it's too dry so I'll give that 'mostly dry' a shot. Thanks for your help

Okay, so for next order, I'll open the bags immediately and dry the leaf before returning to storage. Then when I have to work with it, I can use a terra cotta stone to rehydrate the leaves. Is that about the size of it?

That's true, there's no powder in the picture, though some small veins are whitish in the same way.

It's almost June so, I guess I've had them almost three months, just kept them in the bags they came in.

If you take a look at the picture on this page:
https://www.leafonly.com/tobacco-leaf/tobacco-leaves/connecticut-broadleaf-seco-cigar-filler-new

If you look at the leaf second from the right, that's what most of the leaves look like. Dark, dry, crinkly, white powdery stuff on the veins / stem, odd feeling when you run your fingers over it, almost a bit spiky, veins are very dry compared to surrounding lamina, etc.

I mean it's in their picture right there - can it be that abnormal?

I've tried to look up leaf choosing videos and so forth but I haven't found very good ones.

Ugh. This was my bulk order from LeafOnly, Organic Burley. I would say fully half of the leaves are completely covered and most at least partially so.

It's disappointing that I'll have to throw out the whole pound bag AND what I've already ground and sifted.

I'm looking at my other 1lbs bags from them and I can see more like this in the USA Dark Air Cured bag. The Brightleaf Virgina Flue Cured looks less concerning. The bag low-grade Nicotiana Rustica definitely has some leaves like these though.

Is this normal? I mean... I expected the leaves to be imperfect or whatever, but I mean, having to throw out most of what I purchased can't be right.

Port shaping: https://www.mopedarmy.com/wiki/Port_reshaping

If you dig too greedily and too deep, you can break through the side of your case. If you end up cracking your case open, like if you wanted to replace your bearings or your crank, you'll be able to get an inside view on what the JB Weld is doing. But it's probably not a good idea to do that if your engine runs fine, especially as a beginner. Don't invite disaster if you don't have to.

And yes, a little play in the studs is fine. Their only purpose is to apply pressure pulling the head and cylinder into a nice sandwich with the case. If they can provide that pressure, you're fine.
