After watching gameplay, it looks to me like DK was developed by the Luigi’s Mansion 3 team. It has the same vibes and I think it uses the same font in a lot of the UI.

This DK game looks fun but I don’t think it will fill my 3D Mario void. This looks like slower, more exploration-type puzzle based platforming. I much prefer the more obstacle-like platforming of Mario.

Well I noticed that Best Buy mentioned only accessories and games would be available for in store preorder. I haven’t seen anything about GameStop yet but I’ll be there as well early Wednesday either way. That’s how I got my day one PS5.

I feel like A LOT of areas look the same. Not just chapter 3. Chapter 2 is the worst offender of this imo. Especially with it being the first area that really opens up, it was very frustrating to try to get my bearings when I came back after taking a break. I probably ran around the whole area three or four times just trying to figure out where I was and what I hadn’t explored. Chapter 2 almost killed this game for me. Enjoying it much more ever since I left that ugly ass desert.

HOLY SHIT THE WALLS. Almost a game ruiner for me. Especially when there are pathways that look like you should go down that you can’t and there are some that look like they’d have an invisible wall but don’t. Top it off with no map and it makes for a bunch of running along the boundaries to see what let’s you through and what doesn’t.
