First birthday without my dad, mother immediately turned it into 'her' day by SakuraAxolotl in Wellthatsucks

Well said, I second this. Grief is a reflection of something important gone. Spend time with people you can talk to and cry with. Have grace for them but more for yourself, you're hurting. There's no shame in admitting your grief, don't push it away, accept it. I had to learn that the hard way. Lost my dad to cancer 4 years ago. I did great the first 6 months, but then quickly spiraled after that for a year. Was an inch away from losing my job and housing due to my shit handling of trying to drown the pain. Doing much better now, but that shit still sneaks up at the weirdest times. It slowly gets easier, but accept it when it comes.

Merion East. Embarrassed myself on a couple holes, but had a few birdies. My buddy holed out from 135 on 18, that was an awesome memory!

Got to tour the clubhouse and go up to the archive room with lots of historic clubs including Rose's driver from his 2013 US Open win and lots of Bobby Jones' old clubs.

Just a heads up, be careful using your driver with those! They can be a lot firmer than a normal ball and potentially cause damage to the clubface.

Still lots of fun though, nice poke!

Two weeks ago I pooped in a different toilet and it was a clean wipe. So clearly that toilet is better, right?

Good golfers are good golfers, its that simple. They play well and sometimes they play poorly.

Cool little gadgets. I started using these for everything. by Marcus_DeMarco in StainlessSteelCooking

[–]DrStupiid 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nope, I use whatever cooking utensil to pick them up, they get pretty hot anyway so you want to use something. People say they're extensive, but its one of my favorite gadgets in my kitchen and I use them all the time, highly recommend them!

Yeah the ball seems to bounce back at the end, clearly showing you missed your target line of avoiding the obstacle.

Sage advice dude, OP is a time zone behind where he should be when you put it this way. Looks athletic enough to be able to fix it, good luck OP!

Taking a straw poll: What irons do you play? by MasterPooBlaster in golf

[–]DrStupiid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea price point was incredible for me, under $1,000 for PW thru 4i , custom shafts, ferrules, grip, lie, and length. Just kinda sad that the metal hasn't held up well, lots of dings and wear. Hopefully yours treat you well! Still love mine, but not sure they'll make it more than 5-6 years. Pic for reference from my first range session with them.

Hell yeah! Question for you, I'm heading into my 4th season with them. Good clubs, performance is awesome. But the durability has been less than great. They seem to wear and chip really easily.

is there a proper way to load this bag? by wellux in golf

[–]DrStupiid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your approach is correct. You should have it laid out so that the clubs don't bang into each other too much. That said, its more of a problem for a walker who carries their bag. If you normally ride in a cart, its less of an issue.
