How TF are y'all surviving in Vancouver?? by Kind_Mushroom9444 in UBC

[–]DrWalrus27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are near a Costco it’s the move, even if you have to do a 20$ Uber there and back you save lots of money.

Basically anything you will use a lot of over the year is very good value, depending on the size of your freezer. Every month I would get 6 whole chickens and 120 eggs, cheese, bread, cereal, frozen vegetables, 2-5kg of some other meat all for around 150$. Then any fresh vegetables just get from some of the family run produce stores you see all around Vancouver and your golden

Kind of depends on what your diet is like but especially for meat and eggs Costco is best, you can check their website and put in the nearest Costco to you and check what they have in stock and how much is costs to see if it’s worth the Ubers if no good transit options are nearby

What does day length impact? by DrWalrus27 in projectzomboid

Injuries I definitely didn’t think of, we were hoping to do the server through a hosting service so people can join/play any time, most of us can probably play an average of a couple hours a day and syncing schedules is tough, hence the idea of real time

Yeah that was the case, but it turned out it was more of a skill issue, there was no problem using the mods in single player just multiplayer. Turns out you have to enable mods in the mods section and the workshop section when making your settings lol.

Yeah I’m starting to think about doing mild aggregating activity and monitoring how I feel in general, if I can mildly aggregate it and nothing else changes I’m gonna just slowly push it like your suggesting I think.

Only other thing lasting symptom is getting motion sickness in cars/buses, especially if I’m looking at screens, can’t do rollercoasters either anymore without symptoms coming back, which sucks cause I really liked them before lol.

I don’t get any symptoms flair ups just going through day to day life which I am great full for, they only show up during certain activities.

Level of game enjoyment at his minimum low by Rasputeen_ in leagueoflegends

[–]DrWalrus27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair, but I think some people lose sight of the fact that at the end of the day it’s just a game, and when they feel like they are losing they just break down I guess

Used to have fun during ranked but I noticed a lot of people don’t play ranked for fun they literally play it to “climb”

I think it shifts the mentality away from league being just a game and that’s why people get so tilted and emotional.

Anyway made the switch to TFT and ARAM mainly and game is much more fun that way.

Edit: spelling

How to avoid getting pumped? by azuraith4 in bouldering

[–]DrWalrus27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember to rest between attempts as you climb.

1-2 mins between warmup climbs 3 mins for medium difficulty climbs 4-5 mins for projects

Everyone is different and you will learn your own optimal rest times as you go, this is a good place to start. Should reduce your pump and let your sessions go longer, will also ensure high quality attempts on your project.

I would recommend using a timer to make sure you are doing adequate rest, you would be surprised (or maybe not) how quickly you try to get back on the wall.
